A fitting end
Book 10 was, appropriately enough, the longest book in the 39 Clues series. Author Haddix needed all the page count she could get to tie up this series in a satisfying manner. She largely succeeds but there are some things that don't really add up.Haddix does bring the various branches of the family together in a reasonably believable fashion. Fortunately, the previous books had laid the groundwork adequately so it didn't seem too rushed. The generational conflicts among the branches play out very well in my opinion. Especially well done is the growth exhibited by Jonah Wizard. There are also a few nice surprises as the book builds to its conclusion. All in all, quite satisfying, page turning, have to stay up another hour to finish it excitement. But not every question gets a satisfying answer. The biggest to my mind is how did Amy and Dan's family ever get accepted as being Cahills in the first place? They weren't descended from any of the four known children of Gideon Cahill. So why is Grace (and later Amy and Dan) accepted as Cahills? How did Grace achieve her high status among the Cahill clan without belonging to any of the branches?Perhaps the sequel series delve into these questions. This book and the entire series can be highly recommended to children and adults alike. Great fun.

TWO WORDS:MISS PRUDERBOTTOM
Well, it's a very tense book all right. Everyone does a lot of shrieking and shrieking and "No! You'll need me soon to get the clue, don't ditch me now!" Everyone secretly considers their options and how to betray the others. It's the Cahill family at its ugliest. However, it is a satisfactory conclusion, and Mrs. Pruderbottom was the one who MADE this book for me. You'll see what I mean. ;) oh, and Hamilton holt. I love Hamilton! He's better than all the rest put together!!

An Incredible Books
I absolutely loved this book. Areas of tensity thicken then ease then thicken I was so caught in it. I think that it had a wonderful ending (as did the other books) wanting me to read on in the further books. And the way every book caught on to the story the previous one was telling was pretty amazing. I love the way that these authors banded together to make my new favorite series. I just want to thank them for all the amazing things they have done and what a great job they did.

Loved it! :D
I love the 39 clues series and have been hooked on it since the first book! I am so glad about how this book ended as it explained a lot of the twists that have happened in the plot so far. I was hooked on this book and loved it so much that I finished it in 3 days as I couldn't put it down! I loved all the twists and turns and how this book was ended. I think this is a series I will read over and over again and I can't wait to read the next book and the following series from this! :D

best way to encourage your grandchildren to read!
Last Christmas I bought my 8 year old grandson the first book of this series. He loves books and computers. This series was the perfect blend of both! Additional clues can be found on the computer. During the 2009-2010 year he saved his allowance and bought himself the next 6 books of "39 steps" and loved each one. This year I bought him the then published remaining books, numbers 8, 9 and 10.....It was a real hit for the winter break!Grandmas, unite! get those kids holding, reading and loving books!

Great Series for Independent Readers!
As a second grade teacher, I became acquainted with the 39 Clues series through my classroom book club. However, my 9 year old granddaughter is really the one who inspired me to start reading the books. After reading Book One, I was hooked. The books are filled with fascinating details about history and geography. The story line is well written and fast-paced. I can't put them down! These adventures are perfect for strong readers ages 9 and up.

Love the books
My husband had bought me the boxed set of The Clue Hunt, but they were paper pack and no cards. I've been trying to get the hard cover ones so I have the cards. It's been slow going since the Game has been done for so long, but I'm getting there ! Thank you !!!
