Great item, brought my cans back to life!
I’ve had a pair of 7506’s for well over a decade and the coil in my cable had been long gone, but the warmth they had were what kept me holding on. This was a super quick easy replacement that literally took less than 15min to do. Longest part was waiting on my iron to heat up. Now my cans can go another decade or more with this new cable!

Great replacement cord for MDR V6 or MDR 7506
Perfect replacement cord for either the MDR V6 or MDR 7506. I used it on the MDR V6. Gold coloring and black housing are perfect for 7506 and a slight change from the original V6 but its only cosmetic. Attached photos show packaging and comparity to V6 and 7506 original plugs and cords. Replacement is on the left, V6 center, and 7506 on the right.

Good cable replacement if you wanted a shorter cable.
Used this to replace an old MDR-7506 cable. The old one was pretty stretched out and only one ear worked on the headphones. The changeout was fairly easy and with basic soldering took a total of about 15 min for the repair. The new cable works great but be aware that the total length of this cable is quite a bit shorter than the original, probably by about 5-6 feet.

Perfect Replacement
I have a pair of Sony MDR-7506 headphones that wasn’t putting out any signal up the middle; essentially I couldn’t hear things like kick or snare and I lost a lot of bass and vocal in music I listened to. I learned how to solder and decided to give giving them a shot so I replaced the original cable with one of these, now the headphones might as well be brand new.

Better than the other brand that I threw out
The only thing is I had to use some type of epoxy to keep it attached-otherwise everytime you screw on or unscrew the adapter it would pull the backing part apart. Otherwise it works as intended now. I would recommend this one over the other I had bought that had some weird adapter (sqrmekoko-DONT GET THAT ONE!)
