This Lancer Tactical gun is one of the best guns for starters I've ever bought! It'll last you a good long while if you take care of it well. You don't have to clean it or do anything like that. I've had it for over two or three years and it's not like when I first bought it, but it still works pretty well. If you're looking for a good starters gun, then this will do it.

This has been a great entry level riffle. I highly recommend this for anyone getting into playing airsoft. It has been very durable and easy to use.

I don't write reviews on Amazon--I don't have time for that, but this weapon is so good, it deserves 5 minutes to write about it. I'm in the military, and while I don't play Airsoft, after getting this M-4, I might have to take it up. Instead, I bought this for my wife to use on rattlesnakes in our yard, since she had trouble pumping a standard BB gun and was worried about putting a BB through a window. This weapon is awesome. I've fired M-16s, M-4s, M-9s, etc, and this one is both realistic and useful. Pros: + Powerful: easily puts 0.2g biodegradable airsoft BBs through multiple layers of cardboard. I think it would kill a snake at close range (although that was not necessarily the intent, just deterrence) + Accurate: I easily got tight groupings in 10-15mph gusts at 50' after changing out the standard sights to a red/green holographic sight + Reliable: I put about 200 BBs through it on the first time out without a misfire or other malfunction + Realistic: other than the safe/semi/auto selector on the discharge port being a static display only, most of the rest of the functions of this weapon mimic the real deal + High quality materials/built: the polymer and other materials are high quality with overall great fit and finish; everything is tight/no rattling or lose parts + Semi vs full auto: both modes easily put plenty of rounds down range and on target Misses: - Similar to other reviews, the front picatinny rail assembly was out of alignment with the rest of the rear one, making the front iron sight out of alignment and difficult to adjust to be accurate. This was easily remedied by removing the iron sights and installing a holographic sight, better for close quarters engagement anyway - Agree with the other reviewers on getting a dedicated smart charger and extra battery--the standard charger and battery are fine, but I prefer the Tenergy smart charger All in all, this is a great weapon. We'll see how long it lasts, but I'd buy again based on my initial impressions.

Not even 100 shots into it and the thing won’t feed properly. Assuming it’s a mag issue because when I flip it upside down it works right the high cap mag sucks and bbs fall out when I take the mag out. gonna get a mid cap other than that issue seems to be functioning. Will update if it’s trashy on when I get the mid cap.
