Women's Suede Soft Empire Carryall 40 Tote

I didn't understand the hyper surrounding the Empire 40s until I saw her in Loved Leather (it's mostly black with brown at the edges meant to look like wear, I think?). I bought mine here at Amazon and half expected to send her back. But when I opened the bag, she was so roomy-- I can easily fit my MacBook Air 13" in the TomToc padded case, plus my pouches with my writing supplies, emergency stuff, the smallest Davek umbrella. I was able to combine everything from my backpack AND my class tote in one bag. She can handle it all. I have this bag in the Navy and it's nice-looking, but I definitely prefer the Loved Leather. To me it's more eye-catching, a little bit badass, but at the same time it doesn't look like a super-expensive bag at first glance. Once you get up close to look at it, though, it's stunning. The quality is extremely good. I'd say it's possibly even better than my other Coach bags, including my Rogue. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm tempted to sell all of my Rogues now and just keep my Empire 40. She doesn't spill out my stuff because she has a top zipper where my Rogues only have a zipper for the middle compartment. There are straps on both sides that let you expand the sides to make it more like a roomy tote. I swapped out the shoulder strap for a webbing strap to make carrying more comfortable, then added my favorite tacky charms because they make me happy. I really wish Amazon was carrying the Empire 48 in Loved Leather. I'd love to get that one for traveling.

I absolutely love my new Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40. The black brown distressed finish is stunning, rich in color, beautifully textured, and it gives the bag a timeless, well-loved look right out of the box. It’s both stylish and practical, with plenty of room to carry everything I need without feeling bulky. I bought this to replace my Louis Vuitton messenger bag, and I’m so glad I made the switch. This bag feels sturdier, is more comfortable to carry, and still has that elevated, polished look I want for both work and casual use. The craftsmanship is excellent, and I can tell it’s going to hold up beautifully over time. Highly recommend!

I had my eye on the Empire Caryall 40 for at least 6 months but was hesitant to pull the trigger due to the price.. after it went on sale, I immediately added it to cart & I’m beyond happy with the quality, style etc. I wish I wouldn’t have waited so long. I highly recommend getting it!

Quality is outstanding and the color is stunning! I just love the style of this bag and I don’t carry much. I’ll have this for years to come.

I wanted to LOVE this bag. I watched videos; I looked at many pictures. The color is gorgeous. The texture is *chef’s kiss.* The quality is really great; the value is debatable. The size though… the size was too large for me. I really wanted it to work, but it was too large for an everyday bag for me. Then I tried to pack clothes in it to convince myself I’d use it as a weekender, and it was too small for that. Coach, please make the burnished navy color in a 28! This bag exceeded my expectations. The soft leather, the perfect deep olive color, burnished hardware - I just adore everything about it. I am an LV speedy lover but that bag can’t carry my laptop so it doesn’t swing as a work bag. This fits that + wallet + cosmetics pouch + a book or iPad. It’s literally perfect. I can’t stop raving about it. The workmanship is just superb. I don’t think you can go wrong with if.

Loving this bag!! The loved leather collection is so good. The leather is incredibly soft (it's glove tanned vs. full grain like my Honey Brown Empire 40). The glove tanned leather means the bag is also a bit lighter to me (than my other 40). I have also read this means it could get more scratches easily (which doesn't bother me, since the aesthetic is literally distressed). I also believe this bag is a bit smaller (particularly lengthwise) than my other 40, and I love it. I appreciate that it's just a bit smaller than the typical 40, which makes it more manageable as a EDC. And, while the $50 increase in price versus other Empires may be a bit off-putting, the additional charms you get are definitely high quality and add a lot of personality to the bag. Overall, I love it. Can't wait to get her worn in!
