JOINTSURE Joint Supplements for Dogs – 120 Tabs, Joint Structure & Mobility for Dogs| Advanced Formula

I have decided to give these a try for my 12-year-old border collie who has a problem with his joints in his rear legs and has a problem in standing up. The tablets given by the vet are NSAID’s for dogs, they cannot take ibuprofen etc. Not only are they very expensive I would not take them as long-term use is not good for the liver. He already takes Turmeric and Boswellia which helps, I also feed him Chudleys Senior dog food which I buy from Amazon. This contains a lot of healthy supplements for his joints but sometimes not enough for a serious condition. Glucosamine and Chondroitin trials on humans have shown its no better than a placebo dummy tablet but the addition of Manganese has had some success. However, one trial on dogs has shown the Glu/Cho combination to create ‘statistically significant improvements in scores for pain, weight-bearing and severity of the condition by day 70’, so it takes time to work. A study using green lipped mussel extract showed that ‘supplementation improves joint disorders in dogs in an average of 74 per cent’. It’s a good source of Omega-3 Fatty Acids the benefits of which are well known. The Vitamins C and E are good for combatting free radicals, however, Hyaluronic Acid trials in humans has shown it to be effective but short lived. If this is the case in dogs it may help while the long-term effects of other supplements start to work. Time will tell if these work and I will update this review accordingly. £60 for 18 months of supplements is initially expensive but very good value for money and he is worth it. UPDATE: I bought these in mid May and its now early August, I have noticed an improvement especially when he gets up. He also seems to be happier and I assume its because his joints are less painful. A lot of us know how he feels! I have stopped giving him turmeric as it can blog the uptake of iron causing anemia, he has ginger and multivitimins instead. UPDATE: After 8 months he has continued to improve, the most noticeable is that he now gets up off the floor with ease before he used to struggle. Daily walking also seems to help, enough to stretch his legs but not too much to do some damage.

I get this for my dog who has luxating patella. He is 8 now and after reading the igredients of yumove and comparing to this brand, its exactly the same and a fraction of the price! Highlt recoomend and works a treat for my frenchies stiff back legs

My 11 year old German shepherd has started to show signs of arthritis over the past year, in particular the last couple of months. It has been heartbreaking to watch him go from running around to struggling to even walk. After researching intensively I came to understand that he has arthritis. The vet recommended painkillers which I felt was not the best solution as it doesn't really fix the root cause and the dosage would need to be gradually increased as his pain worsens in the future. So again I started to research online and came across a few studies about how Glucosamine and Chondroitin supplements have been used to treat the root causes of arthritis, by slowing cartilage deterioration and even repairing it. Green-lipped mussels are a good source of Glucosamine and Chondroitin, and make up this supplement along with other ingredients. I came across these supplements and decided to give them to my dog over the course of a month and see if there was any improvement. I initially only gave him the daily dose for his weight rather than doubling his dosage as I wanted to make sure he didn't have any adverse reactions from intake such as allergies, etc. Even with the standard dosage, I started seeing an improvement in his hind legs within 2 weeks (as seen in the video). After 2 weeks, I doubled his dosage and that sped up the rate of improvement. In a month, he walks much more confidently and can even jog. I can see so much improvement with how much weight he can place on his hind legs, and it really has improved his quality of life. In terms of the tablets themselves, they aren't too big but my dog hates taking any form of tablet, so I thought I'd also share a little trick with anyone who also suffers from a stubborn dog. What I do is give him a treat such as dental sticks, but I don't let go after he grabs on. I then pretend to play tug-of-war with the treat and with my other hand drop the tablets one by one into his mouth. From my experience, this has been the best way to give the supplements to my dog since I can visually see if he has swallowed the tablets or not. He doesn't like the tablets being crushed and added to his food, and he would just refuse to eat altogether. All in all, my dog really enjoys his walks and being outside, and these supplements have brought what was lost back to him. I really do recommend anyone who has an older dog suffering from arthritis to give this a go, as this is an all-natural supplement that fights the root causes of arthritis rather than the effects of it.

I have had my German Shepherd on these for nearly 2 months now and I can't see any improvement at all, if anything his back legs seem to be getting a bit worse, maybe just not the right product for him.

These were recommended so can't say if they work yet, good quality packaging and value, arrived on time

Ik gebruik dit al geruime tijd voor onze Border Collie van bijna dertien jaar. Die was vaak erg stijf en stram nadat ze opstond, vooral na een langere wandeling. Dit middel werd me geadviseerd door een collega. Na enkele weken gebruik van deze pillen, is ze weer soepel en lenig, en geen last meer van stijfheid.
