I must admit that I was a little dubious about how this or if this was work but surprisingly it works really well. You have a freezer pack like inner around a silicone cup and you need to put this in the freezer for about 10 hours. You then need to pour in your drink (which itself needs to be chilled) and squeeze for a couple of minutes. The drink turns into slush and you can use the included spoon which is also a straw to drink/eat it. In the video I used Peach ice tea which was really nice and I can imagine this working with any number of cordials and fizzy drinks. I haven’t yet tried this for a frozen cocktail but imagine it would work if you keep your liquids including the spirits really cold (spirits over 40%can be put in the freezer). You could also make the nonalcoholic element as a slushy and pour a frozen spirit over it. Children will love being able to make their own slushies, as an adult I like it too. The only thing perhaps that might be a problem is that it doesn’t make very much

My 5 yr old grandson absolutely loved this! He’s wanted a Slushie maker for ages but cupboard space is limited for the actual slushie machines. This is perfect and he had such fun doing it himself. The colours are lovely, really vibrant. There is a silicon cup with a freezing insert which goes into the freezer (we did it overnight to make sure it was ready) then you just put in your favourite drink, yoghurt, fruit juice and squish! It’s as simple as that, and he got so much fun watching the liquid change to slush. It’s a really good price for something that will last and give kids plenty of scope for chilled drinks in the summer. I received this product as part of the Amazon Vine programme. So this is my second slushy maker from Chillfactor. Not because the first one broke, but because the first was such a success that my other child wanted their own. Clean the cup, dry, and then put it in the freezer overnight. Then simply add your drink of choice and wait about a minute or two before starting to squeeze the cup repeatedly. Soon enough, ice crystals appear and you end up with your own slushy. The straw has a removable spoon head attachment (that you can drink through), if you wish to scoop rather than slurp the icy beverage. You do need to hand wash the components (they are not dishwasher friendly), but other than that, this is a fun and easy way to get your own slushy.

My daughter loves a slushy drink and this is such a quick, mess free, fun method for children to make one. Just pop the inner cup into the freezer for 8+ hours, then put it inside the outer cup, add the drink of choice, secure with the lid/rims, squeeze and it magically turns into slush. It makes enough for one drink. It’s good value, certainly cheaper than buying one, and would be a lovely gift idea too. Great for hot summer days.

This will never replicate a slushy that you get from a machine but for an at home, cheap solution, it works fantastically. I'm pregnant and slushies have been a huge craving for me in this warmer weather. With this, I can make healthier slushies from fresh juice instead of the syrup filled ones I get from the local shop. I also enjoy just making ice with this for other drinks. It's very easy to use and doesn't take long either! Great for kids and hormonal pregnant women with intense cravings

It could be better but as far as slushy cups go, this is the best one I have had. Easy to use, it slushes and sludges like any other I have used, only this one actually manages to get the slush in a decent state.. Its good, these things are good for taking out on a hot day, they last nice, they are a great way to make the kids happy too.
