Primo Digital Scale

I bought the Escali Primo as a straightforward, no nonsense kitchen scale for daily cooking and baking, and it does exactly what it promises. It is light, compact, and quick to respond, with clear readings that are easy to see even when using larger bowls. The controls are minimal but well thought out, with a reliable tare function and simple unit switching between grams and imperial. For portioning ingredients, weighing flour for baking, or general kitchen use, it feels precise and consistent. The build is plastic rather than premium metal, but that keeps it easy to clean and practical for everyday use. It does not feel fragile in normal handling, and the sealed buttons give some reassurance against spills. Using standard AA batteries is also a plus compared to coin cells. It lacks advanced features, but accuracy, speed, and simplicity are its strengths. For the price, it represents very good value and is a dependable tool that quietly earns its place on the counter.

upgraded from some salter mechanical basket scales to these and it was the best twenty odd quid I have spent. They look better, are smaller/neater, more accurate and easier to use. Since I use them every day the quality of life improvements made them worth every penny.

This is a great scale with all the essential functions via easily accessed buttons. It does imperial and metric with a simple toggle and the tare (reset to zero) function is really handy. Also easy to clean.

It's accurate, it has no groves for food too get stuck in. Once when I was using it though the scale went haywire and the reading kept on increaseing for no reason. I think it was some em interference but idk, hence the 4 stars. Has only happened twice, both times in the beginning.

Very good and excellent value

The context for the 5 star rating starts with price. One can buy a more robust and heavier pair of scale and pay twice the price, but the Escali Primo scales are accurate, easy to clean, stylish, nicely put together and robust enough for the purpose. That they use AA batteries is a plus, as is paying half the price of my previous scales. UPDATE: Since I bought these scales they have been completely reliable. Today, I dropped the scales on our ceramic kitchen floor with one hell of a bang. The battery cover flew off and the batteries came out. I put scales back in one piece with crossed fingers. They work flawlessly. Good stuff.

Fantastic product. Most kitchen scales can’t measure a weight less than 10 grams accurately. This one goes all the way to 1 gram with no problem. Most scales can’t pick up on an accumulation of small increments, such as slowly pouring something into a mixing bowl. If you pour enough, they’ll suddenly jump up several grams at a time. This one will tick off the grams, one at a time, no matter how slowly you pour. With other scales, you can weigh the same thing several times and get slightly different readings. This one gives you the same reading every single time. I tested this scale with a standardized brass 100g weight used for calibrating scales. It was spot-on. This Escali is on par with a laboratory instrument. It makes other kitchen scales look like junk. This kind of accuracy might not be important for everyday cooking, but it may be if measuring medicine for you or your pet, or for mixing glues, inks, or other ingredients for a crafting project. Considering that this scale costs about the same as all the others (or less), it’s a clear choice.

This is a great kitchen scale. Most of my recipes are in weight and this scale is perfect. Accurate, goes up by small increments, lightweight and looks good. Does what it is supposed to do. Treat it well and it will last forever

I have bought a couple of weighing scales and this has been the most robust, reliable and easy to use and easy to clean. It's a bit expensive but totally worth it.

Light, easy to store, carry, use. Accurate. Secure on counter. Intuitive. No need for instructions. Works for food, kitchen tools. Yet to try for recipes.

Very accurate to the gram. Easy to use, tare button is very accessible. Small enough to store away in a drawer.
