Geo Sports Bottles 3 Gallon Round Glass Carboy fits 30mm Cork Finish or 55mm Push Cap Home Brew

I recently decided I'd rather not store drinking water in plastic bottles any more on top of our new kitchen hot and cold water dispenser. I also decided to get something smaller than a 5 gallon jug, as that looked like a bear on a bicycle atop the dispenser, and took all my strength just to wrestle it in place.Wanting something that is made of glass and looks good led me to this bottle from organizedotcom. It arrived promptly via Prime very well packaged to protect it during shipment. On arrival, I was able to fill it and heft it into place on the water dispenser, although the glass weighed enough more than the plastic of the previous 5 gallon bottle that it still took a lot of strength.Once mounted, it looks beautiful and appropriate in size for the dispenser.Yes, I would definitely order this again.

Price is OK but title says "Carboy w/55mm Crown Cap" but description says "Crown cap and rubber stopper are not included" I would have ordered them when I bought it if I just knew. Sloppy marketing! Now I have to haul them around with foil until I get proper caps

These are great for drinking water storage and dispensing in place of plastic containers. 3 Gallons when filled is manageable to carry and they're not that big--fits conveniently on the floor behind the center console of SUV. The bottom is recessed in a bit which makes it easier to grip when carrying. They look very similar to ones I purchased for $35 locally which were imported from Italy so the price was right and since I ordered two I didn't have to pay shipping. They were packed together two boxes in one sturdy box and received in perfect shape. I'd rather drink water from glass than plastic but I have broken a couple in my time cause they are glass.They sell the plastic caps and mine rest on a non-lead ceramic dispenser I bought elsewhere online with a plastic liner where bottle sets on.

I receive the package in good condition.The main use of this product was to ferment wort but instead ended storing some drinking water from the tap (drinking water supplied by a major metropolitan city).Before use, I rinsed this container with tap water and filled it with water overnight.The water from the faucet, at the time of this review, has a taste of chlorine and leave calcium residue after evaporation. That being said, I fill this container with drinking water and consume most of it. I Left about 1/2 inch of water inside the container. After a few days, the left over water had a different taste and this container has a fragrant smell. The smell was not foul and not familiar with the taste and smell so I disposed the left over water. Currently, I placed 3 gallon of water for a week to see if the taste and smell will disappear.This is the second time I put some water in this item for a few days, it still has that a taste not sure how to describe it.Like: It looks and feel durable. Take care of it as it a glass product even though it looks like it could take some punishment.

I purchased this for home brewing use. I was going to use some glass acid etching solution to mark 2 and 3 gallon graduations on the carboy. When I attempted to pour three measured gallons of water into the carboy, it overflowed. Conclusion............ this is not a three gallon carboy. A more accurate description is "2-1/2 gallon carboy." The window for return has passed so I am stuck with this.

My fiancé and I were hesitant on this purchase, because of how low the price was! Finding a carboy this cheap is hard - we went ahead and purchased it and love it! It is very durable and holds a great amount of water. We were surprised at how nice it was once we got it. I would definitely recommend this product to others!

I was looking for a glass product after reading about the effects of plastic in our body. While I understand, we are surrounded by plastic, I believe it is okay to avoid it when possible. This bottle (the 3 galloon) while heavy when full is manageable. I dot not fill it all the way up, instead I fill 3/4 of it. I make sure the bottle is dry and my hands are dry and I don't have any kind of lotion in my hands that could make the bottle slippery, after all it is glass. Also it looks absolutely beautiful on the cooler.
