Awesome double hammock!! Might be a bit heavy and big for backpacking
My fiance and I were looking for a double hammock we could both lay in and take with us on hikes, camping, and backpacking. We were torn between an eno and a grand trunk, and settled on the grand trunk mainly because of the cool pattern. While we love our hammock and both fit in it (I'm 5'5" and 105 lbs and my fiance is 5'10" and 165 lbs) we're going to get a second hammock so we can be more comfortable and we're leaning towards the eno. The eno is a little softer, has lighter carabiners, is a bit lighter (important when you're backpacking with it), smaller than the grand trunk, and has compression straps to make it smaller still (not to say we don't love our grand trunk!!). The grand trunk, as you can see in my pictures, is a bit taller and wider than a 32 oz nalgene. In the other picture you can see we're both comfortably side by side in the hammock enjoying coffee. I believe the grand trunk double is a smidge longer or wider than the eno double. The pattern is amazing in person and we get compliments on it all the time. The carabiners that come with it are pretty heavy (eno's are a lot lighter) so we may replace those at some point. We ditched the hanging ropes it comes with for some no name atlas style tree straps we found on Amazon for ease of setup and straps are better for trees than ropes. It was nice they even included the ropes since a lot of hammocks don't come with anything, so you can hang it straight out of the box. After letting other people use our hammock, it got some mystery stains on it and we were able to hand wash it and it came out looking brand new. The hammock stitching looks solid, but we have a few loose threads where the pouch attaches to the hammock. This can be easily fixed, although it's still holding now so we probably won't get to it for a while. If you aren't backpacking with the hammock, ie. weight and size aren't a huge deal, then grand trunk all the way!! Our only gripe is that it's a bit heavy and larger than other doubles for what we use it for.

Best night of back-country ...sleep ever!
I've owed the Eno Double Nest for about six years. It was a great hammock that took me on many adventures. However, I never found the Eno Double Nest to be comfortable enough to sleep in all night. Don't get me wrong, it was a great hammock to laze around camp in, I just couldn't get it to feel just right. Earlier in the year, I lent it to a friend during a camping trip and she said it was the best night of sleep she's ever had. After gifting the Eno Double Nest to her, I started doing a bit of research and came across the Grand Trunk Double.Material-wise, craftsmanship, and overall quality of the products seem to be very similar to each other (Eno Double Nest vs. Grand Trunk Double). Meaning that both were excellently manufactured, the parachute nylon material felt strong and sturdy, while feeling cool to the touch and comfortable against the skin. Both hammocks came with sturdy carabiners. While only the Grand Trunk came with a little cordage so you can hang your hammock right away (Eno does not come with any additional hanging cordage). While cords are great to see what your hammock looks like hung up, it is a little rough on the trees; consider investing in some tree straps (will review next). What makes the Grand Trunk Double a better option over the Eno Double Nest, for me is the fact that it is much more comfortable to me. I carry have a large frame and the extra foot of length that the Grand Trunk Double (10.5') over the Eno Double Nest (9.5') makes a world of difference. I understand that there are larger hammocks on the market, but my primary needs involve backpacking and ease of use. Larger hammocks than the Grand Trunk Double tend to be a bit heavier and more difficult to find prime hanging spots (the Eno Double Nest is much easier to find spots to hang than the Grand Trunk Double).A few weeks ago, I took the Grand Trunk Double on a three day trip to Havasupai Falls. Not only did the hammock hold up. It was the most comfortable camping experience I've ever had. While I won't be throwing away my tent anytime soon, as much of my camping (50%) is either at over 9000' (meaning fragile trees) or in the desert, I can't see myself using anything else but the hammock where it is a viable option. Please note, that there is a learning curve to sleeping in a hammock. Do your research and practice sleeping in it by taking your naps in the hammock for a couple weeks prior to your trip.Overall, I love this hammock and would highly recommend it for hangers who are about 6' tall with large frames.

Great hammock purchase (with straps) for twice the price.
I purchased 5 of these hammocks. They all came with 10 foot straps. Paid $35 which is an incredible deal for a double size 10.5 foot hammock with straps of this quality. Color was reversed from picture in listing. Grand trunk does not show this color format on their website. Only the one in the listing. Red center with brown sides. All hammocks received had brown center with red sides.Comes with all you need to starting your hammock hanging. Even the storage bag is attached. But you can make it better.Only complaint is the cord loops at the sewn gathered ends stretch a lot. I am 6’ 180lbs and with these core loops in use the hammock will drop 8” in 1 hour of use. I always replace these on all my hammocks with 1/8” Amstel (Dyneema) 8” loops. Search YouTube to learn how to make. Very easy.Replaced heavy hardware with these lighter carabiners. Now no stretching.https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MTQ4ZFH?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titleAlso added these carabiners at the strap tree ends to make outing up, adjusting, and taking down easier and faster. So 4 needed per hammock. On some hammocks used Dutchware.com hardware. Again great hammock purchase for double the price.

Hammock sleeping....... You'll be glad you did it.
Straight out of the bag, hang between 2 trees, and away you go. This really is a great hammock, its very well made and is quite simply the best nights sleep i've ever had. After viewing several video's on how to set up a hammock i was confident i knew how to do it, after setting the hang angle to 30 degrees i jumped in, positioned myself across the hang line, and relaxed, and oh my, how relaxed was i....... wonderful.I connected a ridge line and now each time i set up, the hammock is in the perfect hang position for me. Although the single hammock is lighter, the double allows more space and is perfect for a 220lb 6 foot lump like me, to lay almost flat, and the hammock supports so well that there were no pressure points on my body at all, resulting in what truly was the most comfortable nights sleep.I have slept on various mats under tarps, and in tents, and would recommend hammock sleeping to anyone, and can not imagine how any other hammock could be better than the Grand Trunk Double, without doubt one of the best buys i have ever made.

Fact: Hammocks are great.
The product is great! The ultralight works well but I would spend the extra money for the added comfort and size. Easily fits two people in "bed" or "couch" mode and comes ready to use. Small enough to throw in your day pack, light enough to haul it to your favourite spot, and durable for all year use.

perfect addition to our family
This is my 3rd Grand trunk hammock and haven't been dissapointed. The pattern matches the Canada National Parks gear so I had to get it when it went on sale. The patterns that grand trunk carries helps you stand out in a crowd of generic hammocks. easily holds my whole family and when paired with their hammock straps I can hang in under 2 minutes.

10/10 Would Buy Again
This was my first hammock. I bought it after being convinced by my friend (who works at an outdoors store and loves hammocking) that this was the best hammock for this price range. I was not disappointed. This the most comfortable hammock that I've slept in. I've borrowed a few other people's hammocks before, and anyone who has borrowed mine agrees. Also Grand Trunk customer service is really good. My friend's stuff sack for his hammock statred to rip, and they replaced it, no problems. The only con for me would be that this hammock's stuff sack is very large, but that is to be expected for a double-nest. You could backpack/travel with this, but it would be preferable to use a smaller one.So summary...Pros:Very comfortableGreat priceSuspension included100% nylonBigger than a regular double-nestGood customer serviceCons:Large stuff sack10/10Overall a great hammock and I would buy again. In fact I will be purchasing a single-nest for travelling eventually.

Perfect for the urban jungle
Ordered 5 hammocks for our Hang Bar and Bakery concept pop up shop. I already own 5 grand trunk hammocks which I've put through the wringer. If it's good enough for my family they'll be good enough for customers.
