Clear2o CRV2001 RV Inline Water Filter - Reduces Contaminants, Bad Taste, Odors, Chlorine and Sediment in Drinking, Cleaning, Showering Water (Green)

This water filter is great! Water taste just like it was from the bottle. There is a little loss in water pressure but for clean, good tasting water it is well worth it.

I bought this filter based on the reviews. I received it on Aug 26th and installed it just last week to replace the blue filter I buy at Walmart. I was hoping it would be much better. Somehow it was not. I had much lower water pressure coming out of the filter. I had 50 psi going in as usual but only about 1/3 of that if not more comes out. At my faucet, it is a little more than a trickle. For $35 or so dollars I would have expected more than that. I am hoping this is just a fluke and a one missed in quality control. I am not happy at this time and I hope the manufacturer or Amazon can fix it. I really was looking forward to a better quality filter not quite sure what I think yetUpdate to previous. I contacted Clear 2O directly about the faulty filter. They gladly sent out a replacement filter the next day.

Here's the deal: This water filter is a high quality filter. It offers superior filtering abilities. I've used it for a week in conjunction with the "pre-filter". It seemed to work flawlessly.Now for the but. This filter can be purchased from Walmart at a considerable discount. Turns out my local store had several in stock. I realized this after my Amazon "seller" purchased my filter through Walmart and a WalMart delivery driver, delivered it to me. My cost through Amazon was around $50 bucks. Walmart's price, about $20.

I was pleasantly surprised that this filter did a better job removing the iron taste from the well water we use to fill our Camper. The taste of the water direct from the well is very much a overpowering iron taste which I cannot tolerate so we always use a filter. The former model/brand filter made the water drinkable but still I could taste the iron a little bit. This one eliminated the taste completely for me when I tested it side by side against the other one. I am not sure how long it will last but for the first few gallons the result exceeded our expectations.

First filter restricted the water flow into our RV significantly, water tested at sink 267. Requested and received a replacement filter, thinking it was possibly defective. No improvement in water flow with replacement filter and water tested 255. Very disappointing.

We love this filter! We used to use another brand for our camper. But I had noticed there was always a funky odor inside. It got worse if we open any of the faucets or took a shower. The odor would linger. Not even lighting candles took the smell away. A friend told us to try this Clear2o water filter. We hooked it up on our last camping trip and noticed immediately that the odor was gone and the water looked clearer. After reading how this filter works I felt safe brushing my teeth and showering , even cooking with it, opposed to using bottled water. We love this so much we bought a second filter to use with our outside hose when we don’t have full hook up and need to clean dishes outside. This is definitely a product you should buy. You’ll love it. We do and We will never go back to that other brand!

3 stars because it worked great 1st time to fill up my tank. But second time it doesn't work but just drips out through the filter.. disappointed

I wanted to try something other than the blue Camco filter which we've been using for years but just didn't feel it was doing a good enough job. So far this one has done a great job and I do see myself using them in the future.
