Bought this to replace a twenty something year old cupola that got blown off in a wind storm. Sturdily built and much less expensive than other cupolas. Looks great on top of my garage. Very happy

After reading several reviews regarding damage to the cupola upon delivery I was reluctant to purchase one for my home. I rolled the dice as more comments were favorable.Upon arrival, I opened the box to find three corners of the top - copper portion had either large chips and or separation at the seems (see photos). I was in a state of "what do I do now?". To make matters worse, Amazon has NO RETURN lockers or outlets in my region of Connecticut. Seriously?Amazon was the seller of the product and the only option was to return the entire item when I only need the top part replaced. Logistically, this is not looking good for Amazon and not having a return option here makes it horribly difficult to remedy.I figured I'd roll the dice again and call Good Directions directly. I was on pins and needles thinking of what nightmare may lie ahead. Much to my surprise Good Directions offered me a quick, timely replacement. The gal whom answered was understanding, courteous and friendly. They stand by their product! Thank you so much! The less than 5 stars was me saying that AMAZON must make the experience better and more user friendly. Perhaps, if they are buying these and reselling them directly to the public, they should be prepared to fulfill only broken parts. The cupola is wonderful and I'm looking forward to it with my new Good Directions weathervane on my roof.

Took forever to get the cupola delivered. I was first sent an outdoor fire pit 😂. Cupola arrived with no damage. Used the QR code to view installation instructions. They showed a conventional roof installation. My problem was that the cupola was going onto a salt box roof ( unequal roof pitches). Also the cupola I bought had a tapered base.Emailed the company for advice and was told that someone would get back to me in 48 hours. Not much help when you are sitting on the ridge of your roof. Ended up running the base through my table saw to bevel the front and back so that it laid flat on the shingles. Also was disappointed that there wasn’t any screen inside to cover the louvres. Needed to staple some on the four inside louvres to avoid the mother of all hornet 🐝 nests!!

This was a replacement for the original lost during Hurricane Sandy. I finally got around to replace it and have to say; "This was an excellent well made product". The only thing required to install the unit was to mount it to the roof and install its roof on....Very easy installation for one person, I highly recommend its purchase....

Well constructed and very attractive. Three piece design made installation easy, given the size and weight of the unit. Very nice and reasonably priced.

Good Directions 2118CV Coventry PVC Vinyl Cupola with Copper Roof, 18-Inch Square by 24-Inch HighWOW what a surprise. Very happy with this cupola. Helped my 74yr old dad buy it for my mom for Christmas. Almost cheaped out bought the wooden one. Very happy with this PVC one. Came in three pieces with easy to follow instructions which should make installation much easier. Instructions include an easy way to determine roof angle and transfer it on to the base for notching. Picture didn't show it well however there is a hole at the top and another support inside for a weather vane which will the next addition. As we have snow now install will be in the spring. Again very happy with the construction and layout of this cupola.

This is a really nice looking. The directions are very good. I used my cordless saw to make the majority of cuts and a hand saw to finalize the cuts where they meet. Then I placed it on the roof and with a pencil I marked where I needed to fine tune the fit. I made additional cuts with my oscillating saw and tapered the cuts back so the outer edge is what contacts the roof surface.

I had hoped that the reviews were exaggerated, but sadly were not. Poor workmanship, broken base, misaligned joints. I was forced to spend 2+ hours cutting support pieces and epoxying joints because the item was ordered to arrive just in time for a roof job. Just can’t understand why such an expensive cupola is shipped repeatedly to customers with no regard for care or quality construction.
