Looks great, sounds great, worth the money
I Mainly play a Fender Stratocaster and was looking for something a little more low volume friendly than my Blues Jr. Still wanted a tube amp and this 5-watt Marshall was a perfect choice. Sounds great with the strat, even at low volumes. The option to select low or high output definitely helps with that. In my opinion, it still sounds like a Marshall amp even with the small 8-inch speaker. I have a Big Muff plugged into the effects loop and it sounds great too. In comparison to the 12-inch speaker in the Blues jr, it doesn't sound as rich/full at higher volumes obviously but the Marshall sounds better at the volumes I normally play at. The only thing I wish Marshall would have done is add a reverb effect.Absolutely recommend this amp if you are looking for something to play in an apartment or bedroom where low volume is important. Looks good, sounds good, would buy again if I needed to.

Perfect amp for at home or recording
Great amp for at home. Put a fancy OD pedal in front, a reverb pedal in the loop and you are good for almost anything. I use the one watt setting for the most part. Sounds great without being oppressively loud. Easily gets you to GNR or AC/DC territory. Crank it or stack ODs for Mastodon etc. I don’t play Clean much, but the cleans sound nice, too.

Good practice/playing at home amp.
Loud for a 5 watt amp. Words can't describe the tone, you'll have to purchase one to experience it for yourself. Comes with footswitch. Needed a low wattage amp just for playing in the house and this Marshall fit the bill.

If vintage is what you seek
Definitely has that vintage sound very simplistic amp, that being said you'll need pedals to get more tones out of this amp. Tilt control helps you get any tone from dark to super bright. So far I'm loving the amp!The boost helps you get crunchy tones at low volumes in case there's any apartment dwellers reading this!

Amazing for the price
This amp is amazing. It is very loud for a 5 watt. Sounds really really great. For the money I’m very happy with it.

A brilllliant piece of kit
I got this because I wanted a single channel clean amp as a platform for my pedals and it didn't disappoint! What really surprised me was just how good it sounds un-effected. Single coils just sing and the low output mode is a really good feature for the neighbours! Can't recommend it enough.

Excelente sonido

Great Vintage sound at low volume.
I love this Amo. I have never had a tube amp after 25 years of playing and at 180 gbp this was big investment for me. I dont regret it for a second. This is a fine amp, although the 8 inch speaker does not reach the volumes needed to be heard over a drummer it is plenty loud enough for practice. I love the Marshal tone and the footswitch included works well. Am looking forward tovtrying the effects loop. It's great. If you need a practice amp and have 180 quid you would be dumb not to buy this.

Perfect for me
As a valve practise amp it sounds great and is exactly what I wanted. It's got a great sound and the 0.5W mode is good for bedroom playing. It's a very clean sounding amp but I use pedals to get different sound options. I prefer it that way as I usually don't like the onboard effects on amps.Simple, good quality and great sound. Everything I wanted.

Tiny all valve dirt monster
OMG this amp has that classic sound. Am using with a Gibson SG and Tokai Les Paul and both sound immersive. It really loud, even on the 1W step down setting but it's such an authentic sound. The tilt, boost, and 1w/5w switch the hero features. it's a steal at £199 if you want that AC/DC meets Guns and Roses sound but can be more pulled back with a 70's/80s kind of Tom Petty vibe. On the 1W setting with volume on 10 and boost on, you get a get dirty sound that sounds like Honey Bee by Tom Petty. Add a tube screamer pedal and you have all the drive you need.
