Ammo Nut Wizard Picker Upper for Pecans/ Acorns w/Retractable Handle

A group of Target Shooters, one has a limited ability family member who comes to watch. In an effort to keep him busy we discovered the Nut Wizard being used by another group of new shooters to pick up spent ammo casings. Deciding this would be a good job for the friend and some serious help for us, we decided to get one of these and the other piece that allows for easy emptying of the Nut Wizard basket. It worked very well this past Sunday at the Range, on grass and paved areas. I get the feeling from all of the interest on Sunday as it was being used that several other shooters will be looking to pick this item up for themselves. Funny how something can be used to do something else as with this Nut Wizard! It works well for our purpose.Just so anyone does buy this along with the Nut Wizard Dumper, here's a little tip. You don't get the Bucket. I know that Amazon shows the Dumper attached to a Bucket in the sales photo, but it's just not part of the deal. It's a little tricky as the photo vs. description can make you think the Bucket is included, but it's not. I did speak with the Seller, who was very nice by the way, and he indicated that 2 or 3 people about every year contact him regarding not receiving the Bucket. That he has tried to get Amazon to change the photo/description like, "Bucket not included", but without results so far. He doesn't sell Buckets either. No big deal. Just pick up a the Bucket of your choice at your local supplier and the Dumper will fit right on it. The Nut Wizard works very well for our purpose and I'm sure does a great job for what it was designed to do. Your back will thank you for the Nut Wizard. If you're going to get one, this Seller is recommended.

Works very well. Picks up and holds brass fairly well, better than most others. Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is the connection to the pole. The pole itself is fine, I love the collapsible handle. The cheesy piece of plastic that holds the pole and roller together is wore out after a few months and picking up about 4k rounds. I just put screws threw both sides. We will see if it holds up. Functionality of the twisted basket works great. Most of my friends bought the nut wizard and I had to be different and get the more expensive model. Mine does seem to hold ammo better than theirs just have to keep screwing the bottom back on.

it is great for picking up spent ammo cartridges (the small size basket) But I'm thinking the workmanship could have been better !?

I purchased mine from 855sheller and received the (pictured) quality aluminum handle that was purpose built just for the ammo wizard. I'm very pleased with the overall quality of the unit and it looks like it will outlast me. I use this on fairly flat hard packed sandy soil with short cut grass and it's wicked fast! My back thanks me every time I use it! Works well on all my cases (9mm, 223, 308, 30-06).

NOT what was advertised for the $90.05 i paid (w/tax) for this cheap down version i received!!could of gotten a cheaper brand if i wanted this cheaper sticker galore $10 handle one that was modified by seller to fit picker upper basket into it and as you can see by my pic, they did a heck of a job at it didn’t they...NOT!!!just wow, if you can’t offer what you advertise CHANGE your listing to reflect product you are DIYing yourself AND lower the price to reflect your dumb down version..on another note, the basket picker upper does work as long as you can see brass (short grass only, does not work in longer grass) and pick them up the right way (on their side).. If you will be picking up a lot of brass regularly, this basket picker upper will wear out quickly for sure..i would return this in a heartbeat and argued with other half about doing so for it is not nice looking as shown and not worth the $90 but, my impatience husband rather keep it and fix it when it should be return period so seller doesn’t think it is okay to bait and switch buyers like they did!!

Has worked out well for picking up spec brass. Has done a good job for 22 and cancel brass and rifle brass.

The media could not be loaded.  I believe in buying quality gear once and taking care of it. This item appears to be well made. Time will tell and we’re off to a good start. Picked up 45 and 9mm brass on compacted dirt and weeds without a problem. In my video, you’ll see that I picked up 250 cases without emptying the basket. Much better than squatting and picking up brass. Works great!

Works really well on smooth surfaces. But in grass, stony surfaces...not so well.
