Sony PlayStation 3, 60 GB

PS3 arrived promptly with all promised parts, but software was still set up with previous owner's information and was only semi-functional (would freeze randomly, usually after about 8 minutes of use). I was finally able to get the system working properly again after several hours of doing a complete factory reset (the reset itself took that long...I'm not including the time wasted trying other "quicker" fixes). This ended up being doubly frustrating because the console froze the first time I attempted the reset, but finally went through on my second attempt. I would have much preferred that this had been done before I received the unit. Since then, everything seems to be running okay. I do live in a bit of fear that whatever caused the original problems with the previous owner's software will rear its head again, but so far (fingers crossed) this has not been in evidence.

Glad to have the backwards compatibility, fans were a bit loud when i received it, but after a good cleaning and reapplication of thermal paste it runs nice and quiet except in intense moments of games, which is understandable. I also replaced the 60GB drive before booting it, so no idea if the original drive is in working order, but id assume it is based on the condition of the rest of the console

I was looking at this prodcut and it said it has 4 USB port and can be play playstation 2 games but i recieved is it only had 2 USB port and there was no slots for memory card and there was not possible to play playstation 2 game..... and more, the front big panels had scratches....i did not care until that big parts fail off.... and also, the where it should have memory stick place cover is also, fail off...... it was work but if it is only for Playstation 3 80GB price should be less than $90.... why do i have to pay $180? ... i do not know but people who prepare this they do not have knowledge?

I have appreciated this project in that it can also play my PS2 games, which is awesome to me! It does have an exceedingly loud fan on it, but that doesn't really bother me. So far, I've had no issues with it.

I was very happy with the shipping of the item, however that was about the only thing I have good to say of it. Perhaps it's just the model of console, or perhaps it's just this one, but there is a bug that causes the screen to glitch up and freeze causing the console to need to be forced off. If it's just my console then I bought a defected product, but if it is just the model of console (being that it is an original launch console from 2007) they should have giving a warning as to this occurance.

Now admittedly, I was a little over-anxious to get a PlayStation 3. I wanted this model quite badly, but I didn't look into it much. Once I got it I turned it on and it smelled quite like smoke. I had to look into the issue to find out that there might be lots of dust there (the fan was reaching its third fan speed in five minutes regardless of what was going on). I purchased some thermal paste afterwards and took it apart to reapply it. It works better but I had to make another purchase without looking into it more. All I have to say is that people should ask the exact condition of their purchases from the seller. I will remember this forever.

just received my ps3 today and am happy with the purchase. the console has everything that i need, dvd/blu-ray player, wireless internet and with the 60 gig version i get backwards compatibility letting me play ps1 and ps2 games. I've done lots of research before buying a system and decided that the 60 gig meets my needs. i don't play lots of video games, but i like to watch movies. I'm a netflix member and it was easy to set up netflix streaming on my ps3. the movies and games on the ps3 are crystal clear even though i don't have a high def tv. if your on the market for a game console, go with the ps3 60 gig. it's worth the money and is a ton better than the new ps3 slim, which is NOT backwards compatible.

The system itself works fine and plays PS2 & PS3 games for now. Bought this as a Christmas present. Only came with a cord for a controller. No controller, no HDMI cord nothing! Then called amazon about it because I got it from the amazon warehouse and they said there's nothing we can do about it! I called again and got a different agent who was then able to help me, I still won't get my missing items but I will get a partial refund. Buy 3rd party, then you will at least be able to get all the stuff.

Ps1 ps2 and ps3 games makes it a must have for a collector wanting to minimize console space

Très content de mon achat la Ps3 n'avait jamais était ouverte en plus. Oui car je les ouverte pour vérifier la propreté du ventirad. Donc un petit souflage du radiateur même si la qualité du vendeur fait qu'il n'y en avait pas besoin mais bon ça mange pas de pain. Donc petit démontage souflage ventirad plus radiateur puis échange patte thermique. Aucun YLOD à l'horizon. Je recommande l'achat en plus c'est la seule Ps3 ou on peut jouer au jeu ps1 ps2. Et vous pouvez monté un disque dur 1to.

Es wurde eine abwärtskompatible Playstation 3 beworben mit 60 gb Festplatte ,was in der Regel bedeutet das das Gerät 4 Usb Ports und einen Kartenleser haben muss. Bekommen habe ich eine Playstation 3 mit 40 gb Festplatte die weder 4 USB Ports noch einen Kartenleser hat. Das Gerät das mir gesendet wurde war in einen Unterirdischen Zustand,davon abgesehen das es nach Nikotin und anderen nicht näher identifizierten Gerüchen STANK, war das Gerät augenscheinlich in einem Rugbyspiel als Ball missbraucht worden,auch der Staub in den Entlüftungsschlitzen lies nichts gutes vermuten. Immerhin war für 166,89 € ein neues HDMI Kabel dabei und ein schlotziger Dual Shock 3 und kein Stromkabel Lange Rede kurzer Sinn,bitte nicht kaufen außer ihr habt Streit mit eurem Geld. Ps. Ich hab sie angeschaltet und nach 5 Min. einen YLOD gehabt,also Totalschaden!

Als ich eine Woche nach Release meine PS3 endlich erhalten hatte (ich habe sie auch erst am Mittwoch nach dem Release bestellt, da ich unsicher war), war ich von Anfang an hin und weg. Ich hatte gezögert, weil ich nur einen PAL-Fernseher besitze. Nach dem raschen Aufbau, der wirklich sehr schön aussehenden Konsole, folgte der Anschluss an meinen PC. Via LAN-Kabel (im Lieferumfang enthalten) war ruckzuck eine Verbindung zum WWW hergestellt. WLAN ist natürlich auch möglich! Als erstes erblickt man ein sehr gut strukturiertes Betriebssystem. Der Aufbau ist logisch, und leicht zu handhaben. Zunächst hatte ich das empfohlene Systemupdate (circa 200 MB) durchgeführt, welches problemlos verlief (man benötigt keinen eigenen Internetzugang!!!!! Das Update kann man auch bei Freunden herunterladen, und auf USB-Stick oder CD pressen, und so installieren!!!). Danach folgte die Anmeldung beim Playstation-Network (die ersten paar Hunderttausend Kunde bekommen James Bond Casino Royale auf Blue-Ray DVD kostenlos zugesandt!). Im dortigen Playstation Store habe ich dann Gran Turismo HD Concept 2.0 kostenlos heruntergeladen. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Version mit 10 Fahrzeugen (+10 getunte) sowie 1 Strecke (+ die gleiche Strecke rückwärts). Die Grafik ist ebenfalls top, und es ist ein netter Bonus für alle PS3-Besitzer. Schließlich werden alle Zeiten, die man fährt, in eine online Highscore eingetragen, wenn man online ist. Nach den schnellen Downloads folgte endlich der pure Spielegenuss. Die Grafik ist atemberaubend. Die Spiele laufen bisher alle sehr flüssig. Die Lautstärke der PS3 nimmt man absolut nicht wahr, da man dank des kabellosen Controllers (ist sehr schnell via USB aufgeladen) ein paar Meter weit weg sitzt. Selbst wenn man näher an die PS3 herangeht, hört man so gut wie nichts. Nach mehreren Stunden Motor Storm und Resistance, hatte ich dann nochmals das Betriebssystem unter die Lupe genommen. Die 60 GB große Festplatte (kann über USB durch externe erweitert werden, aber ein richtiger Austausch der Festplatte soll ebenfalls problemlos möglich sein) dient nicht nur zum speichern der Spielestände. Sie ist viel mehr das neue Herzstück meines Home-Entertainment-Systems. Videos, Bilder (dank Kartenleser für Compact-Flash, SD, Mini-SD, Memorystick Pro, Duo, Pro Duo ist ein problemloses schnelles Übertragen möglich) und natürlich Musik in diversen Formaten ist für die PS3 kein Problem! Sie ersetzt zusätzlich meinen alten DVD-Player, und kann endlich die neuen Blue-Rays abspielen! Dank des Playstation Networks sieht man direkt, wenn die Freunde online sind, und kann so stundenlang online Gefechte durchführen. Mein Fazit: Meine sehr hohen Erwartungen hat die PS3 um Längen übertroffen. Die Features, die Power und der Fun-Faktor erfüllen alles, was keine andere Konsole bisher erreicht hat. Selbst wenn man, wie ich, nur einen PAL-Fernseher hat, sollte man zugreifen! Die Grafik ist auch so beeindruckend. Langfristig sollte man auf einen FULL-HD-Fernseher umsteigen. Die 600 Euro Kaufpreis sind wirklich nicht viel, wenn man berücksichtigt, was man alles für das Geld bekommt. Deshalb: Kaufen!

El producto dejó de funcionar el segundo día de uso!!!! Me siento ESTAFADO!!!!! El producto enviado es auténtica BASURA, NO FUNCIONA desde inicio!!! Nada aconsejable en absoluto comprar a éste proveedor, ya que no vende...¡TAN SOLO ESTAFA!!! UNA VERGÜENZA!!!! (¡No es de extrañar las críticas y quejas que tiene!!!) Muy triste tener que ganarse la vida así...¡ESTAFANDO! (Le pongo una sola estrella porque no le puedo poner ninguna...!!)
