My Math Grade K, Vol. 1 (Mcgraw-hill My Math) Student Edition

I am a Special Education, who was struggling to find a cohesive K-12 math program. For the most part, this Glencoe My Math program is amazing. I use a lot of self motivated learning practices in my classroom, and require my students to work independently. The examples and worksheets are very clear, and meet with the General Common Core alignment. I know they have different workbooks for states that don't follow the General Common Core.

I used this book for my 1st son and ordered another for my 2nd son the next year. This book is easy to use and understand. Everything progresses very logically. There is no rushing of concepts. It is common core aligned, which for this book mainly means they put word problems in once in a while. Every kid is different but this book has worked and it straight forward for us. When my son would have a hard time I could distract him with the pictures, and say look an animal or look that's my favorite food because most pages have little pictures all over.

I do order this for my kids and to my great surprise, it’s the same syllabus that my kids uses in school.

Kid friendly in terms of graphics and problems per page.

I bought this math book to teach my child at home. The book is fine and in good condition, however, the registration code was not included in the book. As a result, I cannot sign up online to create an account, and subsequently cannot access the videos and quizzes that accompany the book's lessons and are mentioned in the book. Real bummer. It would've made the lessons a lot more fun. I contacted mcgraw-hill but they don't support products that are purchased through Amazon. Apart from feeling a little gypped, especially when I see all the fun and interesting extras that I can't access, the book came in good condition and came in good time.
