Good quality
I am a security guard at a chlorine unloading facility. Having this could save your life in an emergency. The quality is very good. I hope I never have to use it. Having it gives me peace of mind. I would recommend some kind of chemical rated goggles for your kit. if there is a chemical leak and you don this not being able to see from the gas will be a big problem. I'm not no expert in any way but comen sense you would have proper PPE.

Quality product
I've used this product a couple of times, it's very easy too use. A quality product. I recommend it for your safety if you work in a chemical plant or an environment where there can be an exposure to chemical or gaseous hazards.

Just what we needed for escape respirators!

Works great for chlorine.
I used this mask in a chemical plant that produced chlorine gas. It was intended for emergency use in the event of a gas release. However, there was always chlorine gas in the air. Interesting fact I learned is chlorine combined with water makes hydrochloric acid. Sweat is very similar to water. Therefore I had acid on my skin daily which in low concentrations was very irritating. The acid also rotted my cotton coveralls in two days. I had to buy five pairs of acid resistant coveralls the first week on the job. I used the respirator constantly while in the unit. I volunteered to go to Vietnam to get out of that job. Great respirator though. Now with a beard I need respiration protection for Nitric acid fumes. I’ll use a fume hood but want an effective standby respirator.
