Finally.. a Warm Coat
Comfortable in zero degree temperatures. Blocks wind reasonably well. Wish the inside was smoother and not the scratchy mesh. Lot of nice features, pockets, etc.

Wow, kept me warm on a bicycle at 20+F
Went for a bicycle ride in Colorado 20 degrees F this morning (above not minus). Stayed warm all the way home, like being inside at home, very comfortable on a bike. We don't get down to minus 40 where I live, however I have never been this warm in this cold. I'm sure zero degrees would be just fine. Best jacket I ever had. Wish I had had this when I worked in Moscow at really 40 below zero. Does everyone know that is where Fahrenheit and Centigrade meet?

Finally, a warm winter jacket.
Warmest winter jacket I have ever owned! When the jacket arrived, it had warmed up and was in the high 20's to low 30's and was almost too warm. But as our winters go in northern Minnesota, it wasn't long before it was below zero again. That's when I found out how warm and comfortable this jacket truly is. I have always owned Columbia winter jackets and have liked them very much, but during cold snaps, you could feel it through the jacket and if I had to do things outside, I would always put on a hooded jacket under it to stay warm, but then it became too bulky to move. The RefigiWear jacket not only keeps me warm when I'm out in sub zero temps, I just wear a t-shirt under it, but the flex zones make it easy to move as well. And unlike others, when they get cold, they sound like they are cracking; this jacket doesn't have that problem. The wind doesn't cut through the jacket either, which is nice. The fit is nice, and there is enough room that if I wanted to wear a sweatshirt under it, I could and still be comfortable. I would order another one of these in a heartbeat!

One big design flaw
Heavy coat, doesn't bind, well-made, metal zipper (!), good pockets, waist drawstring, tight sleeve cuffs . . . and a big neck-hole with a perfectly pointless nehru-style collar that lets cold air flood in. Why, God, why? Some designer wanted a look and forgot about function, that's why. It's nothing a muffler can't fix, but what I wanted here was a single garment I could put on and be warm. If I had it to do over I would get one of their boxy, Soviet-style older models with the faux-fur collars. Those things are like wearing a little well-insulated house.

Very good quality
This is one of my favorite winter jackets. It's very warm, but it doesn't overheat you when you walk into a warm building. The flex fabic on the elbows and back give the jacket an excellent range of motion. I don't feel constricted at all like in other jackets. The size is true to fit. If you normally wear a large jacket I would recommend the large. Tried the XL and I was swimming in it. The build quality is very good and feels like it will last a very long time. I primarily use this jacket when I'm working outside in Alaska.

Great jacket in cold/dry conditions
I needed a jacket with a hood. It ran a little large (not a problem if you are going to layer underneath) and it had a large collar opening. The lack of a hood combined with the large collar opening nullifies the waterproof properties. That said, I never rain tested it, but after trying it on I felt that it wasn't going to suit my needs. I gave it 3 stars because the rest of the construction and the description were spot on. Perfect jacket for cold and dry, very warm. I wouldn't wear it in a rainstorm though.
