365 by Whole Foods Market, Organic Unsalted Black Beans, 13.4 Ounce

LOVE black beans! These Whole Foods 365 brand beans come in a carton--that I managed to reclose satisfactorily. The taste is good. Plus black beans, in general, are nutritious, full of fiber, and blend into soups, salads, and burritos beautifully. A satisfying snack too. After draining carton a bit, pour beans in a bowl, sprinkle with shredded cheese, add some green salsa, then briefly heat in the microwave. Add a dollop of Greek yogurt, that tastes like creme freche. Yum. Easy to store too.

We love these beans, great flavor, no salt, good consistency. I like that they are in a box instead of a can, but, for some reason Amazon shipped them in an envelope! who sends a box filled with food in an envelope? One of the boxes was damaged, broke and spilled beans all over.

Simple and gets the job done. Very good. Slightly hard to cut with scissors - but not a major issue.

Very flavorful. Quick, and easy snack, or have with a meal.

I can’t make out the writing on the picture but this looks like the black beans I recently purchased. If that’s indeed what I am reviewing, I love this shelf friendly, soft canning method of preserving black beans! The carton container is so much better than the older tin can we have always had to buy. You are also only getting the black beans in a small amount of water and nothing else! This is great because the beans can be seasoned with whatever is preferred, as well as the amount. Easy to open and fresh tasting. I don’t have to soak dry beans overnight and cook all day in the crock pot to have a cup of beans for a recipe, or to make black beans and rice anymore. I just never liked the ones in a tin can, but these are just like I prepared them myself!

We eat these beans multiple times a week, and we never get tired of them. They taste great, and we love that they’re organic and non-GMO. Being grown in the US is a plus as well! The only downside is the packaging. We greatly appreciate that the beans are packaged in paper instead of a metal can. However, the material lining the paper changed recently, and following this change, it has become difficult to open the perforated tab of the box.

Hard to find cooked beans without the sodium and without driving an hour to a healthy grocer. Grocery stores will have a variety of “No Gluten” products with a minimal number of people actually allergic to gluten but very few items with 0 to 5 percent sodium. Considering the number of people who need low sodium intake, there are few items in the store. I truly appreciate being to find products like this on Amazon! Fyi - add no sodium seasonings and lemon or lime for a similar salt taste. Lemon/limes distinct taste gets lost in other seasonings then tends to taste more like salt. I am not recommending this to those within the culinary world who have more refined methods but, rather, to the eat and run crowd😊

Delicious and nutritious black beans. My family loves these beans. Good for breakfast served with eggs and cheese in a warm tortilla or lunch in a salad as well as dinner served as a side dish. Sold for a great price too.

Was a little surprised when they arrived and they were in a package with a peel off too instead of can ... but product was great
