Great for a small family, couples or single person.
It’s great! I held off making my review till I was able to use the food processor which works so perfect and comes with so many different ways to use that with the slicing tool. It does take some getting used to you to not like over. Blend your stuff in the food processor. And it’s much larger than I had anticipated so just so you know it’s definitely not small. The blender itself is excellent. I thought that maybe getting a smaller picture would make it harder to make smoothies for my family, but it ended up being perfect with nothing leftover so for two adults and one child I can make a smoothie that can for everyone exactly. No leftovers. It’s really easy to use. I wouldn’t say it’s affordable, but the value for the money was great because I really wanted a food processor so the only thing is that the little handle for the stick for the blender it’s made of plastic and it doesn’t really lock in so it comes off really easily but I feel like if you’re not moving your blender a lot it should be fine. Everything else is great. I mean it’s a Vitamix. It does what it does. I’m grateful to have one after having my ninja foodie for so long like there’s some programs that it doesn’t have, but I feel like it was definitely a good upgrade as far as my smoothies are so much better. 5:-.

Quality machine
Performs great, has lots of power and has the best warranty of any blender I viewed. Although it is a bit pricey, I am glad I bought a quality made in USA machine instead of a cheap made in China machine that does not last.

Good blender
Having previously owned a BlendTec that lasted roughly 13 years, I decided to give the Vitamix a try based on feedback from people who owned them. The Vitamix seems to blend large frozen strawberries better than the BlendTec, which took two blend cycles to fully blend strawberries. The Vitamix jar is a bit smaller, so less capacity. It also doesn't always spin fast enough to get the protein powder off of the side of the jar. The ridges inside the jar make it more difficult to clean than the BlendTec as well. In the end, the Vitamix blends better but has drawbacks of being more difficult to clean and a smaller capacity when compared to the BlendTec.

Absolutely Phenomenal
This is a game changer in the kitchen. Appearance wise it is very sleek and modern, which blends well with our current theme. It sits on the counter and people are consistently impressed when they walk by. But the function of the blender is what truly impressed us. The Vitamix has both standard blender features plus an additional food processor that allows for a wide variety of functions. The blender has settings for an autocleaning function, along with soup, smoothie, and frozen settings. We made an instant frozen yogurt on the frozen setting, which turned out much better than it would have with our old blender. The soup setting is great for tomato soups and chowders, and the time on the setting allows for a well blended smooth broth. We made milkshakes with the smoothie setting, which also turned out smooth (there's a pattern) and had a nice frosty consistency. The autocleaning feature is also very nice, and gets the hard to reach (under the blades) spots much better than hand washing would have, with minimal effort. The Vitamix is somewhat loud, but its sound is comparable to almost any other blender on the market. They also had a few notes about a smell with the first few uses, however we personally did not experience this. The absolute best part of this combination, though, is the food processor. If you love salads - makes them perfect in seconds. It is about 10x better than the other food processors we have tried. The processor comes with a low set blade for pulverizing, and a high set blade for chopping. The speed of the blade when chopping is almost unparalleled. In maybe 2 seconds flat we had an entire english cucumber perfectly sliced. It handles cabbage, carrots, even radishes just as well. You can literally get a salad done in maybe 40 seconds if you already have everything out. The low blade is just as impressive, and works well for both dips, sauces, or curries. Overall we found it to be worth the price. Storage wise, it took what we usually do with about 3 devices (chopping things, blending, and processing) and simplified it down to one device plus an attachment. Storage is so much easier, and you get a high power motor and a large amount of cooking potential in one singular machine. They stored perfectly in a dedicated container and safe to handle due to added blade lip. As people that spend anywhere from 3-8 hours in the kitchen per day, it is well loved for all home cooks. A worthwhile splurge.
