Good kit for a good price
I'm not a professional. I'm doing some body work on an old vehicle and this worked great for removing about 20 - 30 spot welds. There are a few extra cutting bits so I think this will last me a very long time. The case for the tool and extra bits is a plus. For what I used it for - it was perfect and the price was great.

Hands down worth every penny
What I like:*cut through 18g steel no problem*nice quality case included*bits last a long time and are very tough*comes with many cutters, extra pieces and a drill bit*great quality for the price.*double sided so one cutter is twoWhat I dislike:*the cutters can get extremely tightly screwed on and become a challenge to remove.*would be nice to have at least one extra bit that the cutters screw onto.I absolutely love these cutters. The case they come in was a surprise, it makes these things seem expensive! I've saw some reviews of the cutters not lasting long but I assure you they do. You need to be logical, these are small metal blades with teeth that are cutting also through metal by speed. They are not going to last forever, if you catch one of the teeth on a edge that's not significantly weaker than the tooth that tooth will probably break off, if you are pushing very hard you will go through them much quicker as well, if you are trying to cut through a frame rail or something other than thin sheet metal it's not going to do great. But these things are awesome for doing what they are meant to do. I drilled out right around 70 spot welds with the first cutter, then accidentally caught a tooth on a edge and broke the tooth off, flipped the cutter over and have done about handful more and still going, these things last plenty long. I have not used the drill bit so not sure about that but the cutters are awesome.I've found the best way to keep it from walking on you is start off with no pressure and slow speed, let it do its thing for a couple seconds, then add about 10% pressure and 10% speed for a couple seconds, then jump to same pressure but about 50% speed, couple seconds of that and then push and full speed and it almost always stays right on target. I found this to work even better than drilling small pilot holes.I'm not giving 5 stars for two reasons.1: the cutters can become really hard to get off after they've put work in.2: The claim that they will prevent you from drilling through the back panel. You have to pay attention to how deep you drill because these will absolutely just keep on cutting through until you go all the way through. Just pay attention and when you think you have gone through the first layer stop and try to split it and see where you are at.

Worked great with good technique
The first weld I tried to cut removing the inner rocker on a Chevy pickup had the tool skidding and jumping around when I only center punched the spot weld. I had better luck pre-drilling with a 1/8 inch bit in the middle of the spot weld. then it worked great. Perhaps it would have worked if I had just dimpled with the 1/8 inch bit so the spring loaded center pin had a better purchase than just center punching it. It really is just a small hole saw so slow with pressure is better than high speed because it keeps the tool cool and doesn't wear it. I drilled out ~ 40 spot welds with a single tip and it has many more in it.

Lots of value
I didnt expect much from this cutter, I figured if it got me through the job I was working on I was good. I still have the first cutter on the bit, it lasted through the removal of shock tower on a 1961 Falcon parts and pieces and now on to the entire floor section. No signs of wear or slowing of the cut. This tool is worth the money...

Good tool
Works great. I use a 1/8 bit to make a divot, and it keeps the cutter from moving off center. Have drilled out many welds and have only used 1 and 1/2 cutters.
