Love the item...small, fits on counter, works great, plenty of ice made..

After reading somewhat mixed reviews I was a bit hesitant to buy this ice maker. Good surprise. It is so fast in just a few minutes we have ice. They're not that big and a little wet but we put them in our freezer and they're great. Some customers complained about the noise but I can hardly hear the machine running. All in all we are very satisfied with this ice maker, it works good and the price was very reasonable. I can recommend this machine.

I asked for a counter top ice maker for Christmas and my husband came through. I didn't realize these were a thing until I worked at a veterinary clinic that had one for staff and clients. I hate using ice trays and got tired of buying bags of ice. The machine is great. It doesn't take long to make ice, maybe 10-15 minutes, you have a choice or small or large cubes, it doesn't take up much counter space, and this model has self cleaning ability. I use it maybe 2 or 3 times weekly and I like the idea of having ice on demand. I like to use filtered drinking water in the machine. That's not mandatory but a personal preference. Great product for sure!

The Antarctic Star Countertop Ice Maker has been great for quick and convenient ice at home. It’s impressive how it can produce up to 8 ice cubes in about 6 minutes, and the two size options are a nice touch depending on what you need for drinks or coolers. The compact, portable design fits well on my countertop without taking up too much space. It’s fairly quiet for a machine this size, and I appreciate that it can produce around 26 pounds of ice a day — more than enough for parties or daily use. The only minor downsides are that the ice basket isn’t very big (so you have to empty it often), and the water reservoir could be larger to avoid frequent refills. Overall, a solid countertop ice maker that delivers fast, reliable ice with minimal fuss.

5 star. Have had about 2 months and it's working like a champ. The first 2 ice dumps might be a little wonky, but then ice kicks out steady and consistent. I love the turquoise color and especially the bottom drain plug. Makes it easy to empty and dry out between usage.

Our 8 yr old, like new, frig has a broken ice maker which cannot be repaired. My hubby has been driving to get ice and of course, storing it in the freezer. I surprised him with this ice maker for Christmas..! He likes it so much that he threw the bag of ice away from the filling station. Wow!!! What a machine. I keep it on our kitchen counter and we have purified water that we use or you can use bottles of water from the store. We just love it and the price is right for this little machine. It's smaller than our Ninja (small) AF. So, not much used-up counter space. Thank you for making this. Easy to work and great little machine.

Just received yesterday and already impressed. Makes ice quick and love that it has a drain to drain unused water after cleaning. Great size a little smaller than last one so it doesn’t take up as much room but still produces as much ice in a shorter amount of time.

I bought this to replace our Igloo counter top ice maker. That icemaker, after 3 years of continuous use, was crusted with minerals in spots we couldn't reach. I had to disassemble it several times over the years to get a good cleaning, but, this time upon disassembling, the bearings were rusted out, plastic parts were broken, and the mineral buildup was infested with mold. It couldn't be salvaged, so I bought this to replace it. I was disappointed to find that this unit's water reservoir and ice bin are half the size of the Igloo's. The Igloo reservoir held the equivalent of 2 large soda cups of water, while this unit only holds 1. The ice bin on this unit is half the size and, and due to its small size, it's much more difficult to scoop the ice out without dumping ice over the side of the unit. The unit works fine and makes ice quickly. I took off a star because I think it's mechanically identical to the Igloo only with a smaller reservoir and ice bin and I think it would've been better to charge a little more to double the ice bin and water reservoir sizes. We're now filling Ziploc bags with ice and storing them in the freezer so that we don't run out of ice. I fully expect this unit to eventually build up mineral deposits and develop rusted bearings and mold issues as you just can't clean these types of units effectively without disassembling them. Even then, it's not easy. I'm treating them as disposable. The Igloo was still working - even with the broken parts - it was just too gross this time to keep using. I expect the same will eventually happen to this unit.

It’s very nice ice and created in no time. The only thing I wish is that it would act as storage for the ice but you have to turn it off once you’re done making ice. It fits well on the counter.
