Overall, Volume 13 was an interesting volume that went about as what we expected. Inca, the newest pillar joined forces with the antagonists to support her pursuit of life-threatening thrills and excitement. While her abilities weren’t quite detailed or clarified there were enough hints there to suggest that she has the potential to be one of the most powerful characters in the universe. I do have some concerns wondering if she truly does see the words “start” and “end” and so forth when she is using them. It does kind of break the immersion for me.Otherwise, I enjoyed the direction the story is going with venturing outside of the Tokyo Empire and seeing the rest of the post cataclysmic world. While there is still much to be detailed about how most of the world is submerged, geographic features seem perfect mashed together in a sort of artificial manner, and creatures speak, we can still appreciate the new details regarding the world that we received. Additionally we can be sure that we are going to get some answers here, especially if an Amaterasu like feature is present in addition to wandering infernals.The assembled cast is actually pretty nice too with old faces joining our Arthur, Shinra, Viktor, Tamaki force. Hopefully our time with the others will be exciting and allow them to grow on us more than they already have before.
