HERSHEY'S Candy Variety Mix, Jolly Ranchers and TWIZZLERS, 125 Pieces, 41.3 Oz

We bought this bag when Amazon was having a deal of the day discount on candy. We had intended to hand out for Halloween, but the quality control on the wrappers is a huge issue. I have a giant sweet tooth so the first thing I did when we got the box of candy today was try and sample some...I noticed almost all of the lollipop wrappers are smashed around the candy part, and the wrapper is not sealed over the stick part well at all so the lollipops are stale. If I were a parent checking Halloween candy, just how open the wrapper is, I wouldn’t want my kids to eat it and would throw it out. It honestly looks like tampered candy. The other candy types are okay, but the lollipops were a huge let down especially as they are more than half the bag.

I had thought this would have been a great candy pack for Halloween, but once I opened the bag, I saw so many issues with wrappers that I am sure there were no quality checks done on this candy. I did my own quality check and went through the bag one piece at a time. I threw out at least 6 of the Jolly Rancher “suckers” because they didn’t actually contain any candy! They were just wrappers on a candyless stick. I had to throw out others because the wrappers had not been sealed properly. About 90% of the candy was safe to give out to the kids, so it was not a total loss. But I will never buy Jolly Rancher suckers or this assortment again.

Watch out for the ingredients of mineral oil and glycerin as they both affect breathing. After eating one Jolly Rancher, I started with a Smith Brothers cough. I ignored it. On the second one, the simple, spaced coughing continued. On the third one, after one taste of it, my throat started to close and I couldn't breathe. I, quickly, stopped, and sipped a bit of water to moisten my throat. I did this a couple of times, I stopped eating them, looked up the ingredients in the Jolly Ranchers, and found out that mineral oil (from petroleum/oil) and glycerin (Most glycerin is made as a by-product of the manufacture of soap). Both mineral oil and glycerin are capable of causing multiple health issues, especially in children, the compromised, and the old. Read up on these two, of many, dangerous ingredients. Btw, I threw out the candies. I should have returned them!

This candy is as expected. Came well packaged and intact. Didn't count but I'll rely on them to give me the product that was promised!

I love this mix and so does my family. It's a perfect mix of jolly ranchers and twizzlers . This is the second time I have purchased this and it is in my basket to buy again. Excellent price.

I didn’t realize just how much candy was in this bag. At least the trick-or-treaters can grab their fill this year! Now I hope we get some of the little rascals

I bought this for trick and threat for Halloween. Used all of them but it contain lots of twizzlers. Not a big fan of Twizzlers.
