Works Good
My application was for an isolation valve between two tanks where one gravity drained into another. I originally used an inline sprinkler valve that leaked and overflowed the lower tank bsecause what I believed to be lack of back pressure. This ball valve solved that problem and was a drop in replacement for the 24VAC control signal. I can't speak for longevity at this time. The position indication was a bonus, but I did not use.

Bought 3, 1 is faulty straight out of the box! Beware!
Bought 3, 1 is faulty straight out of the box! Beware!I thought it would be better to have this type of valves due to not restricted flow, I installed on my boiler system, and tried manually opening, to make sure it will return to closed position on it’s own, but didn’t happen! Good thing I had bought 1 before, so now I’ve got all 3 working properly. However, now it raises my concern how long they will work without failing on something else.Apparently just for this reason, I couldn’t give more than 3 stars, this valve should have passed QC! And it should be working properly!, but no QC signature or stamp.

Lowered from 5 to 4 stars bump to 1 star, stuck fully open when actuator power was off.
Solid brass, it is a gate valve and not a ball valve. Installed using a 2 wire setup so the position is normally closed with no power. It can be set to be open and close based on a 3 wire setup that most pool actuators use.I used this on a pool fill line that is controlled by the actuator on the pool controller. It replacea a Pentair actuator . Two of the pentair leaked as their seals were damaged I presume by the pressure of 65lbs on the inlet.Update 11/11/2020While out of town wife called to say the pool was almost overflowing. IT appears the valve was stuck on and did not return to close position. When investigating the line in the silver disk that shows open or closed was about 1/2 way to close when the actuator was off. When on it went straight to full open. I adjusted using the manual open close wheel to close. I then used the actuator to open and it opened. When I shut the actuator off, it closed 1/2 way again. I repeated this several times and it still did not close properly. After remove the wires to the actuator and manually closing then reconnecting it to the actuator it seems to be closing properly again. Will have to keep an eye out on it.Update 1/21/20 - valve has not worked since December. It is not closing all the way leaving it partially open. I can manually crank it close, but after a few opens and closes, it remains partially open. When I looked at it it was stuck fully open even when I removed the power connections to it.

Easy 12v control for water main
I bought this valve to use on the water main for my new house.I chose this model because:1. It will not auto-return (ie, change position) if we have a power interruption (our well may lose power, but we have a pressure tank)2. It works with safer low voltages (I've seen other valves using 120-240VAC!) Much easier to deal with 12v from a homebrew control system as well as safer. The specs indicate that the actuator automatically powers off once the desired position is set. This is good, but I prefer to build my controller so it only applies voltage when changing positions. In testing the unit received with a 12VDC supply, I found alternate wiring that works: Connect Black to the negative (or ground) terminal. When 12v is applied to the Green wire, the valve opens and remains open when voltage is removed. When 12v is applied to the Red wire, the valve closes and remains closed when voltage is removed. This model doesn't have feedback wires, but simply controlling the time voltage is applied should be fine. There is a means provided to mechanically open and close the valve. It is slow, but OK considering that it should never be required. Because of my use on the water main, I got this manual valve https://amzn.to/2ZT54xY to put upstream of the motorized one. If I am in the mechanical room and find a water leak, I need to quickly and positively shut it off separately from any automation.

Works as described. Valve shuts off when loses power in a few seconds.
I used the valve to control the water flow to my shower via a smart plug in my home automation. Valve shuts off when losing power. Valve closes using reserved buffer power when power is cut off to it. So far so good.

Great
Work great on my hot water boiler

Works great, I use it for a master sprinkler valve.
Works great, I use it for a master sprinkler valve. I had a small leak in my sprinkler system that was hard to locate it . This valve saved me time, and money on my water bill.
