As with anything, moderation is key. Small amounts of salt and baking soda help stabilize your oral pH, which is beneficial and helps support healthy bacteria. Similar to coffee, one cup may be fine but 10 cups aren’t healthy.

Q: Can the acidic ingredients damage enamel?

Our toothpaste is tested at a mildly alkaline level (7.2 - 7.4) and very safe for your teeth & gums. These ingredients are added at less than 1% concentration for a reason; Citric acid (antioxidant), Lactic acid (probiotic), the others are for pH.
