Would you be able to make 7 players work? Description says 4-6 thanks

Hi James, short answer - it would be tricky and might not work, sorry! Long answer - as it is the game works with 4-6 players (it only contains six cards per category - so you are limited to six players). In playtesting we found that any more than this made it too easy to hide if you are the Pretender. But if you are really keen to play with 7 you could try one of the following: 1. Combine two packs so you would have enough cards for everyone to have one card each every round - you could decide whether to include one or two Pretender cards each round 2. Just use one pack but get two people to be on the same team and do their charade together We haven’t play tested these versions and I’m really not sure how well they would work - but if you do give them a go please let us know how you get on!

Yes it will. We think it plays best as a 4-6 player but it will work as a 3 too. Can’t work out if it will be easier or harder to catch ‘The Pretender’ as a 3 player! Chris from Gamely.

Why is this only suitable for 12+?

Younger children would need a good vocabulary and general knowledge to be able to play, ie one of the categories is games and badminton was selected, horse riding as in the famous horse trials was acted, as only people with the answer card would know as there was nothing horse related on the card and the pretender would just copy the riding.

Could just 2 players play this?

Nope, I’m afraid not! You could just about play it with 3 but really you need at least 4 players for it to be fun!
