NitecoreMT1A 140-Lumen Multitask CREE XP-G R5 LED Flashlight, Black

I have owned several of these over the years. AA battery is inexpensive and readily available. Unlike 123 battery. Bright, lasts for several weeks, being used a few minutes each day. There are more expensive lights out there, but not better.

High quality, reliable flashlight for everyday use. I was specifically looking for a model on a battery (not rechargeable). There are several brightness modes.

There are more flashlights out on the market today than Quaker makes oats. Some are good. Some are bad. This one seems to be one of the better offerings. What I like: 1/ Single double A battery. 2/ It remembers the last light setting. 3/ Has a decent build/construction feel to it. 4/ Tail cap is relatively easy to click through. 5/ Bright enough to get the job done. What I dislike. 1/ It has a turbo mode which is supposed to put it at 140 lumen. To access the turbo mode you just twist the bezel to the completely tight position which then negates being able to cycle through the other modes.The non-turbo mode is around 50 lumen. Which, for basic purposes, more than does the job. It is rated for 140 lumen on turbo mode. I'm not so sure about that but hey, I'm thinking I am only going to use that mode occasionally anyway. For an EDC light I think this will do just fine. Being that is an AA battery operated light helps too. Plus, it is not overly expensive either. If you are looking for something practical and cost efficient the MT1A should fit the bill.

Very good light for the price, very bright considering AA powered, being AA powered also a huge plus. the only gripe I have is over the mode switching. The double tap to switch modes is a bit too sensitive & occasionally will switch modes when turning the light on/off.

Just the pocket carry that I was after. It's small enough to carry in your pocket and large enough to fit comfortably in your hand, while only requiring an easy to find battery. My only complaint is that it only has one programmable function, while two would have been much handier for an everyday carry. For instance; all the way to the left a turbo setting, in the middle the everyday use setting, and to the right the strobe setting for emergencies.

I have Nitecore TM26, HC50, HC90 and this one MT1A, I would like give the order from good to bad as: TM26, MT1A, HC50, HC90, this one I place in 2nd.

Clip is a pain in the butt. Comes off very easy. The 1/4 turn switch does not work very well. If the tail is pushed down just a bit it will make contact and shut off. The output is incredible but there is some with the way it works that is not practicle and some what complicated for an EDC light. I was going to return it but I just kept it so I did not have to go through the hassle of return it. If you are not planning on using it for EDC/Tactical use maybe just a truck light or night stand light you'll be ok.UPDATE:Nine months later this flashlight has gone nuts. The functions now does not work at all. It comes on when it wants to, the light sometimes is on on full then starts flashing intermittently like is gonna die.... Then dies.. I contacted the seller about this problem yesterday and has not contacted me back. Do yourself a favor and buy a better flashlight for the same money there is alot of options out there Heck I bought a $9 light that I use daily and works better than this one.

I got this to replace me lost D11. I don't like it. The modes are difficult to use and keep set on just one setting. It's bigger. The D11, even with it's battery problem, was a far better light.

Das ist die überarbeitete Version der MT1A aus der Multi-Task-Serie des chinesischen Taschenlampen-Herstellers NITECORE.Überarbeitet, weil sie jetzt, gegenüber dem Vorgängermodel, satte 180 Lumen hat und das nur durch die Energiezufuhr einer einzelnen AA Batterie.Geliefert wird die Lampe in einer schlichten Verpackung zusammen mit- Einem Gürtelclip- Einer Ersatz-Endkappe für den Schalter- Zwei Ersatz-Dichtringe- ein ca. 19cm langes Lanyard und natürlich einer Bedienungsanleitung- Die Länge der MT1A beträgt 10,5 cm, der Gehäusedurchmesser durchgängig 2,2 cm und wiegt insgesamt 55 Gramm ohne Batterie. Durch ihre kompakten Maße passt sie praktisch in jede Tasche.- Das Gehäuse ist aus anodisierten Flugzeug-Aluminium und ist am Griff für einen besseren Halt kreuzgerändelt.- Am Gehäuse befindet sich ein 6-eckiger Ring um ein Wegrollen auf glattem Untergrund zu vermeiden.- Im Lampenkopf befindet sich eine doppelseitig beschichtete Linse aus Mineralglas, dahinter und zentriert im Aluminium-Reflektor eine CREE XP-G2 R5 LED mit einer Leuchtstärke von 180 Lumen und einer Brenndauer von 50.000 Stunden, was umgerechnet einem Zeitraum von 5,7 Jahren entspricht.- Wie im Tactical-Bereich typisch, ist der Schalter im U-förmigen Tail der Lampe angebracht und kann auch mit Handschuhen problemlos bedient werden.Ist der Lampenkopf fest zugeschraubt, geht die Lampe automatisch in den Turbo-Modus. StroboskopDen Turbo-Modus benutze ich so gut wie nie, High oder Mid reicht in den meisten Fällen vollkommen aus. Um in einem dunklen Zelt ein Buch zu lesen, würde sogar der Low-Modus mit 5 Lumen genügen.Schaltet man die Lampe in einem der zuletzt verwendeten Modi aus, kehrt sie nach dem Einschalten automatisch in diese Einstellung zurück. Somit besitzt sie eine Memory-Funktion.Das Gewinde ist schön geschnitten und gefettet und mit einem O-Ring versehen. Daher ist sie Wasserdicht nach dem IPX-8 Standard. Der Hersteller gibt sogar an, dass die Lampe bis zu einer Wassertiefe von 2 Metern dicht ist. Ich rate aber davon ab die Lampe zum Tauchen oder Schnorcheln zu verwenden. Dennoch ist es ein gutes Gefühl zu wissen, dass die MT1A nicht wasserscheu ist und man sie getrost auch bei starkem Regen verwenden kann.Mir persönlich gefällt die MT1A sehr gut, weil sie sehr robust und hochwertig verarbeitet ist. Sie liegt perfekt in der Hand, selbst beim Tragen von Handschuhen, und sie passt durch ihr geringes Maß in jede Tasche und hat trotz ihrer begrenzten Energiequelle mit 180 Lumen genug Leuchtkraft.

Il prodotto è realizzato e rifinito con buonissimi materiali, il corredo è composto da due o-ring, un laccetto da polso, la clip ed una cuffia per bottone,semplice ma c è tutto cio che serve, o quasi. 5 le modalità di funzionamento comprese strobo e sos. In modalità low garantisce una buona autonomia ed un fascio sufficiente per un utilizzo casalingo, specie se prolungato vista la discreta autonomia. Le altre modalità riescono a coprire utilizzi outdoor in maniera piu che soddisfacente per essere una torcia alimentata con una semplice AA.Diciamo che per dimensioni, batterie utilizzate (1xAA appunto), prestazioni e modulabilità riesce a soddisfare un buon numero di utenze...A volte si da poca importanza ad una torcia e ci accorge di cio solo nel momento del bisogno.
