Carhartt Unisex Odessa Canvas Cap

Great cap! First ace and I’ve got a massive head!!

I've waited so long to find a baseball cap that doesn't look ridiculous & at last, this is it. I've looked at so many photos of people wearing them, but If I see one that looks right they are never identified, shops never seem to stock the right shape & if you order online they never seem to sit quite right. I suspected this one may be the one having found it identified as the one Daniel Craig wears in his final outing as Bond. I then saw someone reviewing it as part of his outfit, so was able to see it being handled & modified an unusual amount so was hopeful enough to order one. (I'm not interested in dressing like Daniel Craig - it's just the fit.) I have a huge head & I am at a little under 50% of the rear hook & loop's ability to expand. This is good quality & the price is I'd say is justified. Carhartt seem to have got things right with this, which is sadly so rare in the game of selling branded gear. The faux leather patch removes easily so I don't look like a Carhartt model. I've seen this identified as both Carhartt Men's Canvas Cap & "Odessa" but having studied model numbers carefully both these terms seem to mean the same item. (For now - why do manufacturers mess with things so often?) So if you want a decent baseball cap this may be the one - looking like 007 on his yacht may also float your boat.

Good quality

This is a medium height profile cap that fits perfectly on my 58.5cm long-oval head (it stops at about 1cm above where my ears attach to the head, as good hats should). The peak is sufficiently long (7cm) and quite wide, thus offering a good protection from the elements. Good fabric and materials (100% cotton), feels high quality. Inside it is lined and has a good Velcro adjustable closure. Excellent sweatband. Love the black colour (which looks washed-grey on Amazon, it's black). So basically it's the perfect cap. However, I don't like showing flashy logos/brand names on my clothes (plus I also wear a Carhartt jacket with the same logo). So, I had the BAD idea of removing the front 'leatherette' label (it also has their brand name embroidered in GOLD on the closure plus ANOTHER label inside - says 'Carhartt, built to serve and protect blah blah'... really?!). Taking the piece off was easy but then I was left with a square patch FULL (not just the edges!) of tiny gold stitches which took one hour to remove. Now though (sigh) it is quite visible where the patch was (I wished not since the cap is new), so I hope that with use and wear it will blend in.

Good quality fabric, adjustable strap, and classic Carhartt look. Fits well without being tight. Slightly pricey for a cap, but worth it.

I've got a head like a pumpkin. 63/64cm. It's a bit snug even on widest strap setting at the back. It needs to be about 5% bigger everywhere. Regular head people, fill your boots.

Great cap for the summer. It's nice and lightweight and doesn't make me sweat, the adjustment is perfect and anyone would be able to wear it. Easy to wash and fast drying. Also it looks super cute which is a bonus.
