I don't think it is specifically designed for that purpose. my understanding is that is for immune boosting. which might help systemically to help with cholesterol. I purchased this product brand since my usual brand was out of stock. it did nothing for me and and the seller would not take it back. it is not inexpensive and I would not buy it again.

Q: Is this product gluten free?

According to the manufacturer, this product is gluten-free and they are in the process of getting approval to have that placed on their labels.
