I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this product absolutely deserves recognition. From the moment I received it, the quality and attention to detail were immediately apparent. Does not cover gray well, clumps and needed to be combed out to avoid looking like dirt specks, left hair looking greasy when dried. Unable to return. More time consuming than other spray on root coverage. Usually love their other products! But this one just doesn’t work.

Worked as described!

I would say this product was just okay. I ordered it to help cover small areas of new gray hair growth along my hairline. While it does get the job done, the application feels similar to using mascara on your hair. It doesn’t leave the hair feeling soft or dry and tends to smear. I like the concept of the product and hope the formula or quality can be improved in the future.

This is my review and personal experience with Naturtint Instant Root Retouch - Dark Brown 2-in-1 Gray Coverage. First off, the product comes in a very convenient size that fits in the medicine cabinet, toiletry bag or purse without taking up much space. The container itself is durable and reduces the risk of breaking inside your bag and staining the rest of your belongings. The applicator has a nice handle that is easy to hold and keeps the dye off your hands. The applicator bristles collect ample amount of dye and it easily applied down to the roots of your hair with minimal contact on the scalp or skin. The product blends easily to cover the grey and restores your hair for a more youthful look. The price point is very reasonable for such a quality product. I give this product 5 stars for quality of the dye, the ease of use and great price point.

It does not work. Difficult to apply and its leaves the hair dry and rough in spots where it is applied.

Great for touch ups.

I don’t love this root cover up but it does work. I have dark brown hair so my roots really show up especially in the part of my hair. This goes on similar to mascara with a brush of that type. It’s fairly easy to apply and it does cover up the gray but then you have to wait for it to dry. It takes some time to get it on my whole part. I don’t hate this but I don’t love it either just because of the time it takes to apply then the about ten minutes to wait for it to dry. I will use it since I have it but I much prefer the powder cover up that I apply with a sponge.
