One works great the other keeps shutting off

I'm updating my review because the company sent me 2 new lights and they work perfectly, so I do think that it was just a bad light. I also got to keep the one working light from my first set so now i have 3 lanterns that work perfectly after replacing the batteries. If they came loaded with high quality batteries I would give them 5 stars, but like most solar lights, they come with really low quality batteries that WILL need replacing. I replaced them with Amazon Basics solar batteries and they now work great, they are lit from dusk until dawn. This company is great about communication, if you have a problem with your lights, they will fix it quickly, all you have to do is ask.OLD REVEIW: I like the light that works, but the other doesn't charge. It must have a bad solar panel because I checked all the connections and it just doesn't charge at all. The batteries that came with the lights were crap, as usual, so i replaced them with good ones, so its not the battery. Anytime I want both lights to work I can put a charged AA battery into it and it will work for about 3 days before dying. Overall, if you compare the cost of these 2 to one of a better brand, its about the same, but then I only now have one working light, so in hind site, I wish I had just bought a much nicer single light that was also brighter, because these don't put out enough light to really see anything, its totally for ambience.

Paired these with the 4pk 10in lanterns and the look was both realistic and unique. When we initially received one of the lanterns was not working , seller quickly responded and provided a replacement that functioned exactly as advertised. Fast and easy product support made this purchase a win

The media could not be loaded.  They’re definitely pretty but they don’t stay lit for more than two hours and that’s with them being in the sun for well over 8 hours per day. I don’t think they’re worth the price.

These are amazing lights. The flickering light in an otherwise unlit area is amazing.HOWEVER... these lights have, perhaps a 2" square solar "panel" on the top. It's not very large, hardly noticeable. With that in mind, as these are solar powered, you need to make sure enough light hits the TOP of this lantern. I had these positioned at the edge om my patio cover, which I thought was sufficient to catch enough rays. But, the porch is positioned south-facing. It's summer now, so I get daylight from 6 am to almost 10 pm. Still not enough to run these for 30 minutes. To test if the lanterns were faulty, they were placed in direct sunlight for about 8 hours, then moved into a dark closet. We check them every hours, for about 6 hours, and they were steady and bright.So, placement is everything. Recommend placing on a east or west facing hanger to catch sufficient morning or evening rays. Alternatively, use a shepherds hook and place them where the ~2" solar panel will not be blocked or screened by an overhang.I have had these outdoors for about 3 weeks without any adverse effect, so unable to render a long-term durability rating. The lost start was simply for not being able to generate sufficient power under reasonable conditions.

Works well nice natural looking like that flickers like a flame

The finish is an antique black, bronze---can blend with browns or blacks equally well. Very lightweight and simple to use. Just hang or set them in the sun. They won't light up for long if the sky is overcast all day but still have a nice shape and appearance.. After a sunny day they glow most of the night long. The "fire" inside is a rolling, flickering orange. They are for decoration like a tiki torch-- not a light source. They remind me of being at the Pirate's of the Carribean attraction at Disneyland. Everyone who sees them loves them around new pool area. This photo doesn't show the orange "fire" light but they are really neat. I will submit another photo when this cloudy, rainy spell here in the midwest ends. I had a problem with some glue on the solar panel on top of one of the lanterns. It didn't light up as well as the other. The seller, Simon, was fantastic to work with. He followed up by email twice to make sure I was satisfied. I got a full replacement of both lanterns even though I was only concerned about one. There is NO risk to making this purchase. Your satisfaction will be guaranteed. I can vouch for that.
