Wanted it to work
I really liked the idea of this product and wanted it to work. My 14yr old lab suffers from severe arthritis. I would have liked this to hold an ice pack on his elbow instead of me holding him down to do it :/ Even with all the clips, straps and Velcro, this product does not stay in place. I've secured it in all places and followed written directions but as soon as my dog starts to walk the brace starts to slip off his elbow. It usually stays around his forearm (not where he needs ice). I kept this past the return date trying it several times. It's a good idea but it doesn't work. I know you'll do anything to make your dog feel less pain but don't waste your money on this product.

Must buy for hygromas
These are perfect. I bought a size large for my 85lb German shepherd puppy and I am confident he will still fit into them as a grown doggo of 110/115lbs. This does not come with padding, but I have found the inserts for the padding hold breast pads perfectly, and breast pads make extremely good padding for my dogs elbows! I use gel breast padding, some might call "chicken cutlets" (as that is exactly what they look like) and it works like a charm. You can buy em for $10 or less on the amazon machine too! 😉

Caldera Pet Therapy Wraps didn't work for us
Our dog has a torn CCL so we seen the reviews and thought we would give it a try, Our dog loves to roll in the snow and it wouldn't stay in place and made us more frustrated with her so decided to give up on itIf you have dog that doesn't do that,it worksShe is a 90lb german shepard/pyrnees

It just won’t work
I really wanted to love this item but it just doesn’t work. It’s fine for a dog that is immobile but for a protection pad for a dog that’s even a little active it just won’t do. It will continue to either creep up the leg or drop below the elbow. It’s so so close to being a perfect elbow guard! One thing I can advise is if they use BOTH clips on the large elbow pad, I think then it might work. Also, add a little bit more material on the upper end to go into the arm pit area more.

Great Concept, poorly manufactured!
I am totally disappointed in this item. My large puppy required a brace and this one was recommended by our Vet, however, unknwn to us that it would only last for ONE HOUR! Why would Caldera create such a required brace with chewable clips! My puppy chewed off the clips in less than one hour! Had I not supervised him, he would have also chewed the ice pack. This type of pet therapy is a requirement - why would this be so shoddily manufactured?I would like to advise consumers against the purchase of Caldera Pet Therapy brace. Brace is totally useless now

Great for my older fur baby
My guy has some arthritis in his hind legs. This is easy to strap on and adjustable for the right fit. It is easy to switch from hot to cold, when needed. It cleans off well too. Overall, it's good and seems to give him a some good relief.

Hard to get my dog used to it.
I got this because my dog has issues with her rear legs quite often. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if it’s from her hips or other joints but I wanted to give this a shot.First off, the large one that I got is very large. I can make it work for my pup but definitely keep that in mind. My dog usually has this issue where she falls between two sizes when it comes to things like this.As far as usability, it takes a minute to figure out how this goes together when you're actually attempting to put it on the first time. My dog is used to wearing harnesses when we go on walks. So the second, she saw this she got excited and thought we were going on a walk. That, of course, made it even harder to get it on her. Once it’s on it seems to fit alright and stay on. My dog wasn’t the biggest fan of it and wanted to pull it off. I gave her a treat and she relaxed. As far as the therapeutic aspect, it seems to help. She limps at times and I used this when I saw her limping. She seemed to be in better shape after leaving it on for 20-30 minutes. It just took some effort babying her while it was on. So I’m not sure if this is any more effective than my having her lay down and using the gel pack alone on her leg. We’ve tried it a few other times and gradually she is getting more used to it but it’s still not something she enjoys. I guess it boils down to a case by case basis in many ways. Honestly, though you could probably achieve the same benefits with just using a regular gel pack. I can’t really justify the cost of this item when it’s kind of more work than it’s worth.

a little difficult to put together
The old girl liked the benefit of the gel pack on her hind leg. I am glad that it can be used on either leg. About two years ago, I noticed she was limping and the day before, a woman was walking down the sidewalk and while she was behind the truck and out of my sight, I am pretty sure the lady kicked her, even after I let her know she would not go past a certain point. Since then, she has had issues, so I know she has pain.
