A useful and dependable microwave. This is the third one we have bought over the years, the last one in 2019. They last about 6 years and that's with a lot of daily use. I have noticed the latest version is a tiny bit smaller on the outside and a little quieter. It's nice to see that Emerson has continued to improve an older product. The price is still great too. This microwave does everything a basic microwave should do and does it well. I think it punches a little above its weight and is a real bargain. They have added a child safety lock, but we don't have children, so we haven't tried it. We use it mostly for sides, frozen dinners, and leftovers. Be aware that, being a smallish model, it will not fit the largest of plates. It will cook an individual frozen entree in 6 or 7 minutes, a bowl of instant oatmeal in 2, and at 700 watts you shouldn't have to worry about tripping a circuit breaker. It comes with the usual rotating platter that can be removed for cleaning. The basic controls are easy to use, 1 - 6 minutes just by pressing the corresponding number and also has a thirty second setting when you only press start. It's a good machine.

I recently downsized to a much smaller home. My kitchen has very limited counter space so I wanted a microwave that wouldn’t take up too much room. I can honestly say this microwave works better than the large one I left behind. I was afraid it would take longer to cook everything but it actually cooks faster! It melted half a stick of butter in 20 seconds. I was expecting to have to do several 20 second times but the butter was almost completely melted in the 20 seconds and it was hot enough to finish melting without needing to be nuked again. This microwave looks nice, is easy to clean and works very well. I recommend!

Was exactly as advertised. Works well. Large enough for the cooking I do yet compact enough not to require a lot of counter space. Absolutely love it has door handle opposed to push button door opener. Good looking well working compact microwave.

I used this for a few weeks. It was fine.

I ordered the microwave for a small rental house. Purchase it in April while remodeling. It did not go into use until mid June. It worked fine for approximately 6 weeks. One morning upon opening the door, the entire inside door panel pulled off and latches would not close or catch. I couldn’t see anyway to fix it so I contacted the manufacture through Amazon as the return time had expired. The manufacturer never contacted me back. Thankfully Amazon did remedy the situation. Customer service through Emerson was nonexistent. I do not recommend this product.

Although it is small, I can use for everything.

Optimally designed for compact environments, this unit accommodates a standard dinner plate.

I bought this microwave for my office and it’s been great. It’s small, but mighty - I’ve made several different meals in it without any issues. Everything heats evenly, just a little slower than a full-size microwave, which is expected. The tallest thing I can fit inside is an Uncle Ben’s 90-second rice bag. I usually add about 30 extra seconds to whatever time the package recommends, but that’s not a problem - I can be patient 😄 The price has been well worth the added value of having this convenience for the past few months!
