but once tuned it sounded pretty damn good
I played it unplugged and plugged in, for about 45 minutes. the brand new strings need some settling and stretching, and are cheap, and the tuners are a bit skippy, but once tuned it sounded pretty damn good, and plugged in, great, its all put together pretty well, with the electronics being the cheapest feeling piece really. Overall, I give it a 9 out of 10 for $125.00, it wont win awards, it WILL wow your friends. It looks good, to anybody looking. I own about 8 guitars, including fender, gibson, epiphone, ibanez, randy jackson, taylor, and galveston, and this one is plenty good for the money, PLENTY good.New tuners, a new nut and some better strings? This thing will kill it!It also came with a good new battery already in it, ready to play. Tune up and rock out. Killer on gain on my amp too. but sweet and bright and high toned clean

Cool looking- but needs major work to be playable
Yes- the guitar is pretty awesome looking. But mine needs $75 worth of work done in order to be playable. The neck is going to have to be re-set and the frets are uneven. While the price seems great, it ends up costing even more to be a functional guitar. Plus- the rosette just doesn't look right with the binding in my opinion, and the pickguard is UGLY with this guitar (I took it off and put on a clear one.) Also- FYI, a classical guitar case or bag is the closest to being the right size for this guitar. The guitar might still move a little in it, but a dreadnought bag or case is way too big, and a 3/4 bag or case is too short. Right now, this guitar is hanging on my wall until I decide to spend the money to fix it. It does make for interesting art work.

Fantastic Deal, Quality
What a shock for the price. Action a bit high but can be adjusted easily. the pre-amp is dead quiet just keep the bass down. The thing sounds so nasty plugged in with a bit of distortion on those big strings. Love this guitar and the only problem was the pick guard was up a bit on one end but when I pressed it back down it has never come up again. The volume is way louder that thought it would be and one look at the wood on the neck and inside shows someone was a master at building guitars. The neck wood is real odd to me dark coffee colored with a real tight grain. Just another unique part to this gem. Made in ChinaA++++++

first guitar ever")
Ok, being this is my first guitar...I can't say much about sound..or action. I can say this is well liked by my instructor. He agrees wiht all the reviews as well. great guitar for the price..cheaper woudl be nice...being that it is a no name brand made in china. Otherwise awesome buy.My experiences so far...I love it :) I am 5'5 basically a short guy...This guitar is perfect its light and not to small that I feel liek I am holding a kids toy but large enough that it feels made just for me. I love how thin the body is, and amazed on the sound that comes on of this thing. I have not even pluged it into an amp..so if it sounds this good alone I can't wait. I plan on an amp soon but first want to learn more before I drop more cash.. Overall this is a great guitar for starters...even people that know how to play. As I let my instrutor jam on it..and I was so happy wiht my guitar.Lastly, My only problem is it seem to not have any way to attach a strap to it, I only see one nothc on the base of the body but nothing else where. I am not a guitarist so I do not know if this is done on purpose or not. I would give it five stars other wise. Also want to say thanks to the people whom posted honest reviews. it lead to my purchase:)Ok less than a week, and I noticed that back is missing a small chunk of finish on the back side. I am returning in hops of getting a newer guitar that is perfect condition. :( disappointed..hope to get my new one soon.OK guitar great..customer service horrible. I never got a replacement because byt the time I got the return info they were sold out5-8-11if I could get the guitar at the original price I would give this five stars.

I recently purchased this item. I was wanting something different to play with, and for the price, I was hooked. Now typically I would have gone with a Martin, Taylor,or any number of name brand guitars, but this one is so unique. I decided to go off on a limb and purchase this guitar even though it is off-brand, and I have been very happy I did.The package arrived very quickly, and everything was as it should be, or so I thought. I loved the craftsmanship, and thought I had a steak a minute. So, like any guitar lover, I tuned up and began playing. Immediately I thought, "Are you kidding me? This thing is great!" Let me tell you why:1. Most guitars need to be set up, and although I will do some minor tweaking, this one is pretty good to go.2. The woods used are beautiful, and as I said, the craftsmanship is much greater than what I paid for.3. I checked every fret for buzz, finding a couple that I will tweak with the truss rod, but mostly fantastic. As it sets now its frets are just as beautiful sounding as my Martin.4. The sound was amazing. Personally I love big bodied guitars, but this little guy holds it's own. Then when I plugged it in, I was stunned at the pickup. Every bit of bass, that I crave in a guitar, was there. Also, you can have a ton of mid, treble, and there is even a "presence" column to make everything more sensitive. So now for the BIG NEGATIVE! I have had the guitar for a week and I noticed that the tip of the bridge was not fully glued down. In the mean time I have installed a strap button, and am awaiting what the suppliers return/exchange policy is. Over all, I am happy with the guitar. Even if I spend some more dinero to reglue the bridge. I just hate that this bridge issue was missed, because the guitar is really neat.
