This gauge has a nice heft to it, and the details of the assembly and materials give a good impression of quality. Unlike the one I replaced, which was rusted and frozen and less than 10 years old, I expect this one to last for decades. I haven’t quite figured out how to release the air bubble in the gauge face - a label says to pull up a plunger on the top after installation, but maybe it needs to be done before the pipes are pressurized. A recommended purchase.

So far so good, I am still testing these, it is all about how long they last.

Replaced my well pressure tank's original failed gauge with this one -- appears to be high quality, and was an easy installation. Would be nice if the gauge came with more glycerin fill, or if a small bottle were included in the package, as the air bubble from the factory is quite large. I topped mine off with some glycerin out of the old gauge which did the trick, so now my gauge is technically partially composed of post-consumer recycled content. Just doing my part!

I cannot complain about the gauge. I use this on an irrigation system. Seems to be accurate, easy to read. Exactly as described. Exactly as pictured. WIll update if it fails in the long run. So far it has made it one year. I will probably buy more.

Food grade vegetable glycerin fill (extra in small bottles available at amazon if you don't like the air bubble). The glycerin is to deaden excess Guage needle pulsation, prevent entry of condensation, and protect internal parts. Remember glycerin filled gauges are not to be used in systems with oxidizer (explosive reaction to chlorine). Your gauge may arrive with the needle off zero, just need to equalize the internal and atmospheric pressure. With finger nail lift edge of rubber seal plug to equalize, do not make permanent hole in seal, you will just create a nuisance glycerin leak. You may have to equalize gage case and atmospheric pressure a couple of times during the life of the gauge.
