The rope is 100% cotton and has a leather trim.Colors - 3/5: Currently there are only two color options - beige and navy blue. I honestly like the look of the beige, but feared that it would look dirtier faster with the lighter color. Because of this reason I went with navy blue. I look forward to more color options such as brown, black, red, etc.Sizing - 3.5/5: Reinhardt is 95lbs and his neck is rather large. We have to put the collar on the last hole for it to fit and even then it’s a little snug unless we put the collar high on his neck. I hope they add XL to their sizing lineup.Overall 4/5: I just wish that the collar was a bit bigger for a better fit, but the sizes offered should fit the majority of dogs. Even though it is a rope leash, it is surprising soft! The company also offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee or your money back.

I received this product and put it through rigorous field testing with a qualified doggo. My Irish Setter is a trained canicross (running) dog and load tested this leash on trails and roads through rain, snow, and sometimes even nice weather. I will have to say I'm not quite as impressed with the leash as I am the collar. The length is very short although it would be good for heel training. The single stitching has started to loosen slightly but that could be due to trying to run a few times with it to give it a good test. This might be a great leash for small dogs or not so active dogs but for my uses as a hiker, runner, and outdoorsman with my pup as a companion I would likely put it in the back of the SUV and keep it for vet visits, or for short walks to the groomers. I would like to see a longer version of this and maybe add in a bungee on one end or the other as it can be a little jarring if the pup is not in heel mode. For what it is though it is a nice leash that looks great.

First time trying a 4' leash, and surprisingly I liked the length. At first, I thought it'll be too short since I usually use longer leashes. It felt just right. The leash kept my dog close by and still had plenty of room for her to walk and explore. It's sturdy, classy, and has a rustic feel. There are two color options: Beige and navy. My only concern is when the leash is dragging on the floor, it gets caught on the twigs and rocks. Luckily, it was only a few times and the material didn't fray or come undone. Not sure how long the rope will stay durable. My favorite part of the leash is the loop at the end, so you can wrap it around your wrist and hold onto it for more control.

Excellent speedy delivery, mine arrived before expected delivery date. Purchased this leash and the matching collar in dark blue. Great appearance supple yet sturdy. Leather leash attachment and collar tab are well attached and durable. Looks very stylish on my pup. We live in the country and have a creek that runs along our pasture, my dog has had this product a number of weeks and it still looks and feels like new. I was worried how this cotton would hold up to “country dog” wear and so far it is exceeding my expectations. I also like the shorter leash length my dog is young and still working on behaving. Having less wiggle away room is excellent. I look forward to trying more Embark products.

This review is for the leash and collar. We tested both on two different dogs (pictures attached) with two very different walking styles, one being an extreme tugger and the other a moderate walker. The results in both cases were positive. Both items are not only attractive, but also well-constructed and sturdy. The cotton is soft and didn’t chafe the dogs’ necks or the humans’ hands, and also provided for some stretch/give in the leash. Sizing is a little on the small side: we used a M/L and only had one hole to spare on the Corgi’s neck and two holes on the Lab mix. We would highly recommend the leash for training or walking dogs you want to keep a little closer to you (it’s 4-feet long) and the collar for any purpose.

Zions rope leash and collar set looks just lovely. This set is made from 100% cotton rope and faux leather. Seems really strong and well sewn too! I just love the little details on it, such as their logo on leather right next to leash carabiner and the metal circle logo on both leash and collar. I only wish the collar was a bit bigger (they are going to release the bigger version soon). I always wanted a rope leash and I really like how it fits Cheddar (@agent.cheddar) on our adventures. I have been on the look out for a shorter leash than 6 feet, so this definitely fit my needs. I wanted a shorter leash because I tend not to be able to walk my dog on a sidewalk, so I want my dog to walk closer to me. Because of this, I tend to loop my leash several times to keep a short leash. At first, she thought it was a rope toy because of the way it looks, but she got the idea eventually. It is a little heavy, so if you do not like heavy leashes, I would be wary of purchasing this leash.Long story short, I love this leash and use it as my main leash now for outings with my dog.

As our dog has been slowing down as she gets older, the shorter length leash is nice because it doesn't drag on the ground. We attempted to use it for heel training, and the short length is functional for that purpose as well. The quality of the product is very good. We also have Embark's longer leash with the soft padded handle, which I almost prefer to this leash.I love the style, but since it looks like a tugging rope, our dog thought it was a new toy when we first opened it!Overall, we are very happy with this product.
