The device is light and handy. However the cutter is wrongly designed and will NOT cut through a seat belt due to the fact that the blade is wrongly placed. I tried cutting a strip of cloth and found it difficult to do so. Maybe there is a special technique to do it and even if so, it is not intuitive since, in an emergency, a simple easy operation is the key. The hammer would probably work to break a car window, but I never tried it on a real sheet of automobile glass.Another thing. This supplier does not provide batteries for the torch and emergency light functions (some do) so add Rs 40, for two batteries, to the final cost. Fortunately the batteries are not required for the breaking or cutting action.

I have friends who have purchased similar emergency equipment from UK/USA and keep in their cars just in case. Lots of cases of cars going up in smoke and occupants dying horribly because doors jammed and they couldn't get out. Even the windows are power operated and wouldn't work. So I bought this gadget hoping it would work in emergency. However, the product is made of cheap grade plastic which reached me in a cracked state. I had to use plastic adhesive tape to hold it together! So before you can break your car window with this the product will break itself. If that was not all, the cutter is rusted and cannot cut the seat belts or anything else even if your life depended on it. It is a bad quality TOY at best. NOT WORTH SPENDING MONEY ON and also misleading product because should you face an emergency you would be left helpless. I strongly recommend that this item should NOT BE PURCHASED unless you like to have a flashing torch, that's all that works. Even the traffic police using flashing batons to direct traffic have a better product. Amazon you should not be associated with such 3rd grade products. It will tarnish your image.

A must have product in your car's glove box. The added benefit is that is is not heavy and quite light. The torch's lumen is adequate on for a dark road and the LED Hazard flashing lights are apt in case of a breakdown and your car lights are non functional. The way the belt cutter is designed inside the casing that it will cut only the belt fabric and not become an accidental slitting device.

The seat belt cutter is an over claim. The cutting edge is tiny and probably won't work fast in an emergency.The hammer is tiny too. I'm not sure if the plastic body will take the impact of hard hammering. I'm already looking for other alternatives.

A good idea to have something like this in the glove compartment of your car. The quality is a bit low; I dont know if it will actually perform as claimed in the hour of need. But its better than nothing!
