Absolutely loved this colouring book
Absolutely loved this colouring book! The designs are wonderful, and they are especially nice if you are a Shakespeare fan.The cons are that because it's a paperback and has a middle binding, some of the illustrations can't be coloured properly. Also, a few of the illustrations become repetitive — there are a lot of circular design illustrations which can get boring sometimes.Otherwise, this is a great way to de-stress and definitely worth the money!

Would buy similar stuff
The illustrations are beautiful! And quirky. There's nothing I dislike about the book, even the cover is great. The illustrations (I think all of them) include quotes from his works, so I imagine, once coloured, they could be framed/used as posters or something similar. The paper is a little thin, however. But not too thin, colouring the pictures in won't be a problem. I'm not sure why I was expecting the pages to be easily detachable, like in postcard books, but unsurprisingly, they aren't detachable

Fun For All
The book isn't that big but the artwork is detailed so it would take enough time to enjoy colouring it. Its definitely a stress relief & if you are a fan of Shakespeare then it's worth the money. Kudos to Goodwives & Warriors for the illustration.

Four Stars
Really good book although the designs tend to get redundant.

It was a little smaller than I expected, but it's completely charming and I'm sure the person I intend to give it to will love it.

Another Fantastic coloring book in this wonderful series by Good Wives and Warriors – printed both sides of the page
The media could not be loaded. This is another great book in the “Escape” series by Good Wives and Warriors. It is the same size as the first two (at approximately 7.5 x 7.25 inches) and is loaded with designs which art both detailed and intricate. The designs are based primarily on William Shakespeare's plays though there is a nod to one of his sonnets as well as his portrait, birthplace and the Globe Theatre. The designs are a wide range including dragons, sailing ships tossed on the waves, Ophelia in her watery grave, fairies, mermaids, witches cauldrons, maps of constellations and much more. The plays and sonnet which are included in the book are as follows:As You Like ItRomeo and JulietThe Tempest (which is one of my favorite of his plays)HamletThe Merchant of VeniceA Midsummer Night's DreamThe Comedy of ErrorsMacbethAnthony and CleopatraSonnet 18 (“Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?”)Richard IIIKing LearJulius CaesarTwelfth NightCymbelineAll's Well That Ends WellThe main focus are on the plays from Romeo and Juliet through Macbeth while the others have few designs, in some cases only one. The designs are appropriate for the time without modern anachronisms. Because of the size of the book, many of the design elements will take a well sharpened pencil or a small nib pen in order to stay within the lines.I studied Shakespeare quite extensively in school and I am very pleased to have this coloring book based on his works. I think it is a nice presentation. There are plays I might have liked to have seen represented but I believe that the ones included are those which most people most readily associate with the Bard. The attached cover of the book is well made and has gold foil, as well as black and purple. You can color the remainder of the cover (front and back) if you wish. The inside of the cover has fold-outs (front and back) and a white on purple line print which you can also color. The rest of the pages (including title and intro) are designs, so you can literally color this book on every page, if you choose to do so.The binding is sewn rather than glued, so removing pages will require a few snips of threads every few pages. I prefer to leave my together as it tells a whole story as it is but coloring into the binding takes some manipulation of the book.96 pages of Imaginative Designs based on works by William Shakespeare and his world.Designs are printed on both sides of the cream colored paperPaper is heavyweight, cream colored, slightly rough and non-perforated26 Designs are printed across two pagesSewn BindingSome design merge into the binding areaAlcohol-based markers bleed through this paperWater-based markers left indistinct shadows on the back of the page but did not bleed through.Gel pens and India ink pens did not bleed through.Colored pencils work well with this paper – both oil based and water based. I was able to layer and blend well and get a nice deep color with both types of pencils. Hard lead pencils did not dent through the paper.

Bellissimo
Sicuramente consigliato.

Works of Shakespeare
I brought this book at full price for my personal collection. I colour purely as a hobby, one that I put an incredible amount of time and effort in to.This is another beautiful book by Goodwives and Warriors and is the 3rd in their "Escape To" series. It follows the same size as the previous books which is approximately 18.5cm x 18.5cm. Inside this book there are 70 illustrations. Approximately 43 single page illustrations and 23 double page spreads. Almost every illustration is drawn all the way in to the spine, I found the spine to be very tight and even after working it, it doesn't sit flat enough to be able to colour extremely close to it precisely. All the illustrations are printed double sided, using alcohol markers stains the next page. However I had no problems with gel pens or fineliners. The paper itself is non perforated, of medium quality with a slightly textured surface. I used a mix of Marco Raffines and Polychromos for most of the illustrations I've completed and found that multiple layers of pencil was difficult, as the tooth runs out quicker then I would of expected. The illustrations contained within the book are based on both the plays and sonnets of William Shakespeare. Of which the following are included within this book:As You Like ItRomeo and JulietThe TempestHamletThe Merchant of VeniceA Midsummer Night's DreamThe Comedy of ErrorsMacbethAnthony and CleopatraSonnet 18Richard IIIKing LearJulius CaesarTwelfth NightCymbelineAll's Well That Ends Well (one picture referencing this at the end of the book)These illustrations vary from notable objects (such as the poison vial from Romeo and Juliet), flora, animals (normal and mythical) to immersive scenes you'll be able to recognise from Shakespeare's original works. Interspersed throughout the illustrations are pre printed black elements. The thicker of these are used in a few scenes to illustrate a dark night sky. There are also quotes from the original work every few pages allowing you to follow the story and understand how the illustration relates to his work.I honestly have nothing bad to say about any of Good Wives and Warriors Escape To series. You get an incredible amount of value for what you pay and the illustrations are so varied you can find almost any type of illustration within the pages. I've personally brought all 4 books from this series and love following a pictured version of classic works.

Beautiful art
This was well worth the price. The artwork is amazing. The only thing I don't like is the pages are an off white or ivory, which makes it harder to get the colors you want to work. I copied my favorite page, a sacred heart that looks like it's right out of the movie Romeo+Juliet - which is why I bought the book - to practice on and get the colors perfect before actually coloring the one in the book. Then when I went to color it, I realized I'd practiced on white paper and the page isn't white. The book is still worth the money, tho. I'd recommend it.
