Won't go back to standard size picks again
I've been playing guitar for more than 10 years and although I'm a bedroom musician but I can easily recall 8 years I've been using Jazz III's. They are phenomenal picks, they are smaller than typical guitar picks and tend to be thicker and more suitable for faster tempos like metal or thrash. I used to play the Jazz III's with the clear coating on them but moved away from them even though the branding and logos of the pick were elevated for grip I didn't like the coating and wanted something flat. I moved on to the Tortex Jazz III's and have been using the since, they are flat and the texture of the pick is enough for me to grip onto, like I said I'm a bedroom musician so I don't have the experience of using them on stage but I imagine they would do well. I also prefer white as if I drop it or am looking for one it stands out a lot easier.Overall one of my favourite picks, they work well for anything but are amazing for playing faster tempos with a nice texture that works well for me. Since using Jazz III's I find it difficult to go back to regular sized picks as the size feels excessive and unnecessary. I'm currently on a pick quest to see if I can find anything else I like, I've purchased the Green Kirk Hammett Jazz III's and John Petrucci's Jazz III's as well to give them ago and review them as well.Hopefully you found this review helpful and happy shredding.

New favourite picks
Great picks. Played guitar for 24 years, always like jazz3 picks. Tried these because they were cheaper. They're a Little bigger, very comfortable and they grip reasonably well.New favourites..

Great picks but a bit too smooth
I originally bought the jazz III variety pack and really liked the green tortex jazz III that comes in that. I thought these would be basically the same and although the size and shape are identical there is one noticable difference. The print on the green jazz III is a bit raised and gives it texture and better grip. These white ones are completely smooth which makes them a bit slippery.

Perfect balance of speed, tone, grip, and adjustabilty
Perfect live pick. Always use jazz pick ups and there are faster or more bitey jazz picks for lead, cleaner / more flexible picks for rhythm, but these have great balance of attributes and I use these exclusively when gigging a mix of genres and styles. (Being white also helps massively with quickly recovering dropped picks on dark stages!).

Every thing you need from a pick.
I personally use a nail file to take the edges off the and scratch the surface with a pin for grip (Im not marking them down for that it takes 20 seconds and it kinda adds to the versatility actually). Long lasting, great shape and size. Great value I love these picks!

I love the shape
I never feel compelled to write reviews but this pick is a game changer.I've used the standard red Jazz III's for years. I love the shape, feel and tone. My only gripe would be that they would occasionally move about between your fingers so on hotter and sweatier gigs I would find myself re-adjusting my grip from time to time. I used to use 1.14 Tortex picks when I started playing guitar, I remember loving the feel of Tortex so when I saw these I had to check them out.To my ears, the tone is slightly more full sounding than a regular Jazz III. There is less of a "snap" when you strike a note, it just sounds thicker and more smooth. Perfect for jazz, blues and fusion style lead playing. The Tortex material is so grippy, even with clammy hands. Game changer. Feels even more controllable than the OG Jazz III and sounds better too. One of the best bits of gear I've bought in years, and it costs a fiver.

Construção impecável.
Vou ter um pouco de dificuldade para me acostumar por ser uma palheta grossa, mas nada a reclamar da palheta, muito resistente e bem construída. CONSELHO: SE VOCÊ ESTIVER ACOSTUMADO COM PALHETAS MUITO FINAS (DOBRAM COM FACILIDADE) TE ACONSELHO A NÃO COMPRAR LOGO UMA DE 1.5mm, PRIMEIRO COMPRE UMA DE 1mm OU NO MÁXIMO DE 1,35mm, POIS ESSA É DIFÍCIL DE SE ACOSTUMAR, ISSO ACONTECE COM O TEMPO...

My New Favorite Pick
Okay, let's get down to business: the Jim Dunlop 478P.88 Tortex White Jazz III picks have officially taken the top spot as my new favorite guitar picks, and let me tell you, they are not just for jazz aficionados. As someone who dives deep into rock, funk, and pop, I've found these picks to be incredibly versatile and a game-changer for my playing style.First thing's first, the size. These picks are on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you. For someone with big hands like mine, I've discovered that this smaller size actually offers more stability and control, allowing me to dig into grooves with precision and confidence. It's like they've unlocked a new level of agility in my playing. Now, about the material - the Tortex formula Dunlop uses is just fantastic. It provides just the right amount of grip and durability, and the .88mm thickness hits the sweet spot between flexibility and rigidity. Whether I'm laying down some funky rhythms or powering through a pop chorus, these picks respond beautifully, delivering a bright, clear tone that really lets my guitar sing. And let's talk versatility. Despite the "Jazz III" in their name, these picks are absolute beasts across a variety of genres. They've effortlessly adapted to my rock, funk, and pop sessions, proving that they're not pigeonholed into any single style. The sharp tip and stiff body give me the precision I need for fast licks and the durability to keep on strumming through the longest gigs and jam sessions. The 12-pack is also a huge plus. Having a dozen of these bad boys means I'm well-stocked for any session, and I don't have to worry about losing one mid-gig (we've all been there). In short, the Jim Dunlop 478P.88 Tortex White Jazz III picks are a revelation. They've not only improved my playability but have also been a massive boost to my musical expression across genres. If you've got big hands and a love for rock, funk, or pop (or really, any genre), do yourself a favor and give these picks a try. You won't be disappointed.
