Tax and all about $2.03 each for 12 high quality files on 11-2023. They are 2 for $7.99 at my local big box stores and more at other retailers. If you know you are going to use your saw for years why not stock up on tools you are going to need for the lifetime of the saw. I use these in my 2-in-1 (Stihl brand) chain sharpener that I bought from Amazon. I have 2 different models of 2-in-1s, Stihl brand BOTH bought from Amazon. LOVE THEM! With this 12 pack I will always have spare files. These are high quality and work great. Every 2 or 3 times i use my 2-in-1 I slide out these 2 files a bit and turn them 1/3 turn so I get sharp/unused fresh file teeth for my chains. If you do this often you can get the feel of when this file is getting dull. Chains are intentionally made of softer steel so they will eventually wear down and so the file stays sharp longer. I change chains in the middle of my truck load of rounds when I see smaller wood chips coming off the cut. I do bring a 3rd chain encase I dull the 2nd chain. The truck gets full faster with 3 chains vs 1 chain and stopping to sharpen it in the woods, but I keep the 2-in-1 with me all the time. This 12 pack of files means I will always have new files, its a good feeling. When I get down to 3 or 4, I will order more. Shipping is another story. These 12 files are in a very flimsy box and mine were shipped in a bag. As you can imagine 12 sharp pointed files in a plastic bad doesn't ship too well. All 12 arrived and the files were not damaged, that Is all i will say about their shipping. I am happy with these files and would recommend them to a friend.

I use Oregon files alot an there good files for the price. Box was completely obliterated and just had a bag with pieces of a box an a bunch of loose file. But who cares. I keep them in a PVC pipe with a cap.

Great files-a sharp chain is critical for any saw. I sharpen my chain daily or as required. Also, I feel your saw is much safer with a sharp chain. These are quality files that will get the job done. I have used these files for the past eight years.

These files are made in Switzerland and are of the quality I expect from Oregon. Other files Oregon sells are made in China and cost more per file than the Swiss made ones. One reviewer noted the Chinese files bent during use. Not the sign of a good file. Come on Oregon, don't squander your reputation for some short-term profits.

Nice files, work well, made in Switzerland. Expect that the box will arrive destroyed (shipped in a plastic envelope so the files tear out the ends), can be taped up but considering these are 5/32 this is like a lifetime supply for me so an intact box would’ve been nice.
