Excellent book from age 2 to 50. Yep Kiddie pictures and authentic info which will excite kids to gandpa.

Good value

We needed rock books for a rock unit at work. We work with children age 3-5 and I was worried about any rock book being too advanced for the 3s and a few 4s. This book had good illustrations and the book was pretty well written so most of the children held interest. I think it was a little long for the youngest ones, but overall I love this book and I've enjoyed pulling it out. The older kids have a lot of questions when they read it

Cute little book. Well organized. Cute pictures. I'd buy it again. I used it to teach my kindergarteners about rocks. The book goes in a little more detail than 5 year olds really grabbed ahold of. However, I plan on reviewing the book until they are in 2nd or 3rd grade and finally can really understand the main types of rocks. They did really grasp that there are many different rocks, formed in different ways.
