GENUINE Frigidaire 297370600 User Control Board

My freezer died, so I googled the problem and found this part very often needed to be replaced. I ordered it hoping for the best. It was very easy to install and worked perfectly. The easy diy repair saved me tons of money and hassle because I didn't have to hire a repairman.

Original cold control caused the freezer to run constantly getting it down to -20. When my ice cream became brittle I decided it was time to investigate. Removed back panel, no ice build up but water frozen on freezer floor, water frozen in drain hole. Tested defrost thermostat as open at room temp and closed at 0 degrees, which is close enough. I was going to test the thermister but didn't want to dig out the specs so I took the repair suggestion and ordered a new control board. It took about 2 seconds to remove the old one with only the tips of my fingers and 3.5 seconds to plug new one in. After 1 hour temp was 0, then 3 hours later it was still zero. Original had 2 bulging capacitors which could have been the problem 35V 20uf. We recently had a flickering 2 hour power outage that may have led to this failure.

A storm caused our power to flicker then got out. It ruined this switch. We ordered and got it the next day. It was so easy and quick to change and saved us from having to replace the freezer!

Freezer had problem where once the compressor turned off it wouldn't turn itself back on unless it was unplugged and plugged back in. Looked it up online and read it might be a bad control board. I got this replacement, pulled the old one out of the door and this one plugged right in. No cables just pins into a socket. Plugged the freezer back in and after letting it run for a while to make sure it was fixed. It's been working perfectly ever since for almost a year and a half.

I read all the reviews on Amazon as far as what the issues were with other people's freezers and how this part got them back in business I ordered it UPS showed up pulled out of the box I'd already removed the other part which was super easy to pull out I plugged the new part in and then plug the freezer back in and we're back in business in the freezers operating as it should well worth the money no need to call somebody to have them install it's really easy to do. And we'll worth the money

Ordered a new control board for my Frigidare freezer. The old board was not reading correctly and blinking in and out, and freezer was not cooling.The part was under 100 dollars vs 1100 + for a new freezer. Took me ever bit of 5 minutes to exchange via pull off old and plug in new. Up and running again. Extremely pleased with new part.. Also changed the capacitor and relay just because, took 15 min, for about 35 bucks.

This is the easiest repair I have ever made. 35 years repairing equipment. I am a trainer for a fortune 500 company, training for equipment service/repair. At my house I had 3 very brief power failures followed by immediate power returns. My freezer no longer showed a display and I knew the board was fried. I verified power into the board but no power out. I ordered this part and when it arrived I pulled the old one out and installed the new one in less than a minute. My freezer has been working great since it was installed 2 months ago.

What exactly do I say about this? Its not like I could choose a couple different models to add or change the abilities of my freezer.My freezer stopped working after a power outage, and the display looked odd. I ordered this new one, put it into place, and it works. Same as the original controls I had. Nice and easy, once you gently pry the old one out of the door. They say to use a screwdriver, but I used an old shopper rewards card to keep from scratching the freezer accidentally. No additional wires to separate or reconnect. Simple plug and use.
