Absolutely love this machine, it makes the frothiest and smoothest hot chocolate. It comes with a selection of chocolate sample sachets and although I don’t like cold chocolate drinks which are included, you can use the sachets for hot chocolate as well. Good to know that you can also use good quality hot chocolate that isn’t hotel chocolat chocolate so saves a bit of money. Really easy to use and clean. I also got a voucher for the matching biscuits to go with the chocolate. When I redeemed it in store they also gave me several more sachets of new flavours to try. Overall, if you like really good hot chocolate this is definitely worth the money.

Okay yes you could buy a milk frother. Or you could whisk milk in a pan and heat it. Absolutely you could, and this review isn't for you. This is perfect for me, who struggles with a lot of culinary processes: getting things to the perfect temperature, measuring the perfect amount of milk, getting the whisking just right, having to watch the pan like a hawk... This, you follow the instructions, wait two minutes, perfect hot chocolate. The Velvetiser is amazing for someone like me: I have hand-eye co-ordination issues and this means I don't have to make an almighty mess and ruin a pint of milk before I get it right, just to have a good hot chocolate at home. It's a bigger outlay to start with, and if you use Hotel Chocolat's own sachets it will seem additionally expensive - but it's already paying for itself. I love a hot chocolate from a cafe. They've been my indulgence for many years now, especially Christmas flavours. But now I think, I can make something even nicer at home - and so I don't buy from a cafe. Over time, it will save so much money. I haven't tried the cold chocolate yet, but I'm sure that's really nice too because this thing is so good. When you actually get it and look at it you can see how everything that's gone into it is precision designed, from the whisk to the way it pours (perfectly - absolutely no spillage). It's actually easy to clean unlike some of these things that'd claim they're easy clean when they aren't. The whisk comes right out so you just run it under the tap, wipe out the pot, you're done. A premium item for sure but if you love hot chocolate, and you want something that makes that so easy at home - this is worth the price. PS Hotel Chocolat's peppermint white flavour tastes like candy canes, do try it this festive season!

Beautiful, velvety hot chocolate when ever we want, I bought this for a Christmas gift for my wife, it is very well made, a good size, and easy to use. It fits into our kitchen well. It’s something we have used daily and the amount of different flavours you can get we are still trying new stuff. It’s easy to clean after each time we use it. 100% recommend for anyone who likes good quality hot chocolate

Purchased on the 16th of February as a birthday present for the 25th February. This item has been used twice and now not working. When you press the button, either on hot or cold setting, it spins for about 5 seconds then makes a grating sound from inside the base and stops. I have checked the returns policy and it informs that you have 30 days from purchase receipt. This is absolutely shocking. I certainly would not recommend this item to anyone.

I had the older version of the velvitiser but it had been used so much I felt an upgrade was necessary. This one is the perfect upgrade. I use this everyday for my coffee and love the smooth texture of the milk and the perfect pint of froth. The capacity of milk it holds is perfect for me.units use it for their hot chocolate and love it too, so easy to use. It is a tad expensive but I have tried the cheaper versions and finally gave in and don’t regret the upgrade at all. I would recommend this whole heartedly especially if you have a coffee machine and wfh as it is the perfect morning treat without spending too much per day. It works out to be worth every penny.

Brilliant product though very expensive. Unfortunately, box dumped on doorstep in public view not in safe space: no knock or warning. It says handed to resident but it wasn't- untrue (no photo - only of product). Very expensive item to just leave at front door. Trying to complain but impossible on website to find a means... so regrettably putting here. Luckily, found on doorstep and product is excellent so no reflection on the brand!

I love this thing. I literally use it for Matcha hot chocolate, even turning powdered milk into liquid milk and I know I can use it for many more things. I can see myself using it for protein shakes for tea. Basically any powdered drink I want.

Item started to be noisy right after the second use!

I LOVE the Velvetiser! It works as described and makes a single serving of cold or hot chocolate milk. If temperature is a concern for hot chocolate, transfer immediately into a insulated mug like a Yeti. I don't like scalded milk and the Velvetiser warms the milk to the perfect temperature. The included ceramic and glass pods for drinking are useless and I tossed them in the trash. The regular chocolate samples are OK, but the flavored samples taste artificial and they are too expensive. I immediately switched to using semi-sweet chocolate chips pulverized in a food processor. I tried hot cocoa powders, but they have a tendency to leave a gritty residue at the bottom of your drink. If you want to make a truly decadent drink, substitute whole milk for a bit of half and half or heavy cream. I hate kitchen appliances that are one-trick ponies, but this is a pretty cool product. I'm a bit of a chocolate milk junkie, so I will put the Velvetiser to regular use.

I have only used this for hot chocolate but I love it much better than the original velvetisser because it actually makes the chocolate hotter. It’s a breeze to clean and it just looks nice. It makes the chocolate nice and creamy. The on and off switch is easy to use and it is very quiet. It makes the perfect size cup. It may be a little costly but for me the taste and ease make it worth the price.
