Great Baby proofing product, easy to use, good color and with a useful free baby proofing checklist.
My children are all grown up and I don't (yet) have grandchildren. My house is not baby proof. I was delighted when a close friend decided to visit and bring her toddler, but once I started to think it through, I wondered if I'd done the wrong thing. I could feed, house and entertain my friend, but could I keep her baby safe in my house, and could I keep my house safe from her baby?I knew there were more products for this sort of thing now than when my own children were small, so browsed through amazon and found a selection. I bought these baby bumpers (rather than others) for three reasons.1. The photograph on the product description which shows they are thicker and softer than other brands. It's one thing to say you're better than others. For me, at least, its better to show it.2. Most of my furniture is wood, so the color blends with it nicely - some of the other brands were a strange sort of grey.3. The product comes with a free baby proofing checklist, you get a link so you can download it as a pdf when you buy. Since I freely admit I don't know what I'm doing, or what's available these days in terms of baby proofing, I thought the checklist would be useful, and I do love that word 'free'!The product is easy to use. It is soft and thick, and the color blends very well with my furniture. The checklist is extremely useful and I have used it to work out what else I need to buy: it covers every room in the house as well as baby proofing when you travel and baby proofing on a boat, and it has some really cure illustrations. As the checklist says, you have to start looking at your home as a small child would, and when you do, there are so many dangers. Baby proofing is no substitute for supervision, but it really takes the tension out of having someone visit with a small child. This isn't the prettiest item in the world and it isn't as cute as a teddy bear, but I can't help thinking it would be an excellent baby shower gift. What could be more important than keeping a child safe?

Good protection, hold didn't last
I bought this product to use on a granite tabletop. The corners of the table are not angled at 90 degrees, but have the corners clipped, so there are 3 sides to each corner. I initially used one long strip and wrapped it all the way around one end and part of each of two sides. The corners started coming off right away. Eventually I cut individual pieces to fit on each of the sides, leaving about 1/4" between sections. I applied it only to the bottom and vertical sides, as I didn't think the top needed it. If a child is running and hit his head on the table, the lower section would completely protect him. The product looks surprisingly nice and is very, very sturdy in terms of the foam density. This worked pretty well - for a while. My 17 month old grandson was visiting and eventually started to pull it off. We just kept reapplying it. He was at our house for a week and it protected the much used kitchen table well for the entire visit. It would be frustrating if I needed this full time, though. I don't know if it was the fact that it was applied to granite or if the initial application stretched it and somehow ruined the integrity of the tape??? From a protection point of view this product is excellent and easy to apply. The tape didn't hold as long as I would have hoped. My grandson went home today and I removed it since the next visit won't be for some time. It came off fairly easily. I'll reapply it next time he visits. The package contained a very generous amount!

Blend-in baby proofing
Very easy to apply to furniture! A little unsure if the adhesive will cause stripping when removed, but we’re a far ways from there. Very thick, dense material (not just a thin foam strip like others). Did have to go back and push a few spots down, again, as they did not fully lay flat...but a pretty minor thing to do in the world of baby proofing. Also very glad to have found something that blends in with the furniture color, instead of some shiny/tacky looking plastic nonsense.

No More ER Visits.......
At 6am this morning, my husband rolled out of bed, hit his head on night stand edge and off to ER we went. Right above his eye and below his eye needed stitches.. looks like Rocky! So when we got home I came online to Amazon and found this! I paid extra for Same Day Delivery which I never used before. It arrived early evening and I just finished installing it. Easy to use, great color for our Dark Furniture. I used a Corner piece, a Strip going on front edge and then another strip going down right side. That should cover what he might have hit. I wouldn't want this to happen again! It happened last year in the summer to him, hitting his forehead and needing stitches at 4:30am. I wish I would've thought of this back then. Better late than never! Yes, have heard this happens to Seniors.....

Sticky tape is not on the roll, only on the 4 corners....take note.....other than that great product
Mixed feelings, love this product a log, but I felt mislead because I paid more thinking that they put the sticky tape on the whole roll, not just the corners......I was wrong. The sticky tape is only on the corners and on the roll my husband had to add the tape, which took a while. Now that I look at the picture it's clear as day that the sticky tape is not on the roll, but when I read the pro's and con's in the ad section it said something about that being a plus of this product. Perhaps I just read what I wanted to read, which is likely, and they probably weren't misleading me, but in case you're like me, just take note of that and maybe pay a few dollars less to do the 4 corners yourself :)

Also protects adults from aggressive furnishings
Ordered these not for children's safety, but my own. We kept barking our shins on the platform of the bed--for some reason it sticks out and catches you right in the shin in the area that on me is starting to get somewhat concave from the multiple trauma. Yes, you tell yourself, I KNOW where the edge is, but you whack it nevertheless because you're a klutz and it's 2am. Enter Mom's Besty: the foam is easily cut to size so it can be put just so on the dangerous bits. The adhesive is strong and the corner guards stick on very well. I've already been saved several more bruises, and the cursing in the house at 2am has likewise diminished. The color is just a tiny bit lighter than the dark espresso-colored bed, so it doesn't broadcast to the casual eye that we need training bumpers for our own safety.
