The summarized notifications that appear as GIFs on my phone are a game-changer for quickly checking on things without opening the full feed. Superior Quality: The image clarity is excellent, and the physical build feels even more premium than the last gen. Mounting Versatility: There are tons of interesting third-party mounting options available, making it easy to place exactly where you need it. Motion Detection: Works great, and lots of options to customize zones, and type of motion. The Not-So-Good: Subscription Dependent: The primary downside is that many of the "must-have" features—like AI summaries and 24/7 video history—are locked behind the Nest Aware subscription. Without it, the camera's utility is more limited.

Great indoor camera with excellent video quality and reliable performance. The Google Nest indoor camera was easy to set up and integrates perfectly with the app. Motion alerts are accurate, and the picture is clear both day and night. It’s a great addition to our home security and gives real peace of mind. Highly recommend.

When I got a camera for the dog room I went cheaper as I thought I just needed basic functionality. Queue the newest addition to the family having separation anxiety and requiring a closer eye and recorded events to see how he ended up in certain situations (i.e. how did your crate end up in the middle of the room) so I could share with his vet and trainer. I already have Google cameras on the outside of the house and when I saw it was on sale I grabbed so I could have everything on one system. So glad I did. The difference between the cameras is insane! The picture and sound is way clearer and the field view is way wider. I ended up creating a comparison pic, I was so shocked at the difference. The top is a Google nest and the bottom is blink. Initially I was worried about switching from a 360 cam to stationary but the view is so wide I don't need to worry about it, I can see all my dogs at a galnce. I haven't tested the speak function but assume it works like my outside cameras. I will note, I don't pay for the best subscription my security company does. Overall I'm satisfied with the buy

I set up this Google Nest Cam Indoor in the dining area of my apartment, angled toward my living room and my puppy’s crate, mainly so I can keep an eye on him when I’m at work or running errands. Setup was very easy and only took about five minutes. I had no issues connecting it to Wi-Fi or adding it to the Google Home app. Video quality looks good during the day, and the night vision is also clear enough to see what’s going on after dark. The two-way audio is clear and easy to understand, which is helpful if I want to talk to my puppy remotely. Motion alerts are generally reliable, though occasionally it will pick up motion from the TV if it’s on. Reviewing clips in the app is simple and straightforward. I already have a Nest Aware subscription for my doorbell camera, so adding this camera was easy, though I do wish more features were available without a subscription. Overall, this has been a solid indoor camera for pet monitoring and general home awareness. It works especially well if you’re already using other Google Nest devices.
