Q: Anyone know what the metal is? I see some people suggest steel, but I think that is just a guess. Might anyone know?

I’m pretty sure it’s stainless steel. It’s not magnetic and has the right heft. I did use some scotchbrite to remove some small scratches and it behaved like I expect steel to.

Q: How big is it? Box dimensions are given, but not of the rattle back itself.

Mine measures 3.758” long x 0.757” wide x 0.407” thick. I’m guessing they range within ~0.030” of those dimensions
