Giani Granite Small Project Paint Kit, White Diamond

I purchased the Giani White Diamonds Small Project Kit. I followed all instructions and it came out beautiful! I couldn't be happier. This was a small project, but I have enough of all the products leftover to do at least 3 or 4 more this size.UPDATE--I was happy at first, after trying 3 times, making sure to really sand down and degloss the existing granite. We were careful (just my husband and I), and it looked great for several months, then started to chip again. I saw a review somewhere where she used a top coat called Super Glaze so I purchased that and applied it, mixing and applying meticulously, but after 3 days it was still tacky so I followed instructions for that product, but is was still tacky so I tried removing it. What a mess. Now I will have to purchase a new countertop, (and they are not easy to find without sinks included), which I don't need, and pay to have the old one removed and the new one installed. Would not buy either product again.

I resurfaced my glossy white coffee table top over the weekend. First I sanded off the its original gloss using 400-grit sandpaper before priming, painting, and clear coating as instructed.It turned out well. My only complaint (if any) would be the clear coat. Although I really like its pearlescent effect, it is not "self-settling". So the resulting surface isn't glassy smooth like a true marble slab.Rather this clear coat settles into a very fine "ripple-like" surface texture.That said, it looks remarkably like marble. I followed the steps as instructed and added a few black veins using the primer. See 12-min video Gianni posted on YouTube. I like it.

Her are before and after photos. My counters were green laminate prior. I definitely had to go back and add more paint after it dried to get the correct look and adding the veins definitely gave it a more realistic look. For the price it was definitely worth it!

Used this to redo the bathroom countertop in our half bath. The directions were easy to follow and painting on the products was easy. The countertop looks brand new. I did notice within a week that a small chip had developed on the countertop so I reapplied and it was fine. Hopefully it lasts.

There was not enough primer. 4 feet of not enough. So that was disappointing. I was so careful to barely use any at a time but the coverage wasn't enough.

I bought 3 of these to do my kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The process is a labor of love and getting the top coat to come out flawless took several tries. The final product is beautiful.

I bought the small project kit to redo our single sink guest room vanity when I redid that entire bathroom. A new vanity was out of the question, but the countertop was showing it’s age and wouldn’t match the new look of the room. Follow the directions to the letter and you’ll get exactly the results you see on the box and in the product photos. It’s somewhat disconcerting when you start with the stark black paint, but trust the process and it will look amazing in the end! The top glitter coat is ever so subtle, but really makes the whole thing pop. I recommend doing at least two coats of the top gloss coat, more if you have time. Will definitely help the longevity of the finish. I probably didn’t even use 1/3 of the product you get in this kit for our 30” vanity top. Probably have enough left to go for our double vanity in the master bath, and I might just try it after the great results with this kit.

This product was easy for some one of my skill level to accomplish. I am on a budget so I forced myself to step out of my comfort zone. I followed the instructions step by step and it came out great. I also reviewed the video on the product website as I was doing the process. To see the video helped to reiterate that I was on target with all the steps. Having to be able to do this and it turning out great will save me tons of dollars for the time being. I would eventually like to install a new vanity and sink, but using this product and it turning out nice --- will definitely buy me a little more time before I have to purchase a new set. Good for the money!
