This is really cool for anyone who wants to grow in any season. It’s easy to use and worth it

The quality of this product does not justify its price whatsoever. Assembly is very simple and yet one of the two cameras did not work when fully assembled. Additionally, on top of the ridiculous product cost, the membership runs between $28-$39/mo depending on your plan (The plan features do not differ. The price difference is to charge more for shorter durations). This point is more subjective, however, I found that the offered vegetables/herbs were quite boring. Of course, you could always use their app to buy additional veggies and herbs at a ridiculous fee. TLDR: If you have unlimited funds, this product is mediocre at best. Otherwise, go with a less greedy company that’s actually rooted in the passion of horticulture.

Previously owned an earlier model. Putting the Gardyn Home 4 was a relatively simple task. I’m disabled but was able to easily manage it. It looks nice. You have a set light and watering cycle or you can customize it to fit your needs. Be sure to set the right time zone so your lights will turn on and off at the appropriate times. I would have given it a 5 star rating except for the difficulty pairing it with my WiFi. I had issues with a stable WiFi connection. The main issue is that it will only connect to a 2.4ghz WiFi. My router was supposed to be able to tell what frequency the device needed and connect at the 2.4ghz if required. The connection wouldn’t hold. I had to go in and split the signal of the router where I had a separate 5ghz and a 2.5ghz connection point. I still couldn’t get the device to pair until I switched my phone to the 2.5ghz connection as well. I also had to leave the phone on the Gardyn to get it to pair. Probable almost a two hour effort with multiple attempts and troubleshooting. Gardyn, you might want to add a 5ghz version to make it easier for your customers to use. 🤣

I really like this system, but my lord is it expensive and frankly not worth the money. To pay $800 for the materials and THEN be told you need to pay $40+ for proper hands off support is misleading, and makes the whole concept of “saving money” on greens false, as it’s more affordable to simply buy these organically at our local store. I don’t know when we have ever purchased more than $40 a month in greens. Plus you have the aggressive, ongoing Gardyn-brand cost of more plants and pods and accessories. In short, this product should not be marketed to those wanting to save money, but to those who will enjoy year round gardening with help of the assistant and automation.
