Great filter
Had the regular filter that came with vac. Was okay, but I installed and replaced regular filter with the HEPA and my vacum has more flow. Then the benefits of Hepa. Happy with purchase..

Fits the Stanley 8110803 Wet/Dry Vac
If you are looking for a replacement filter for your Stanley 8110803 Wet/Dry Vac, you will be pleased to know that this is the exact same size and fitment as the original filter that came with the vacuum. However, note that the retaining plastic piece with the new filter differs from the one that initially came with the Stanley 8110803. You will need to reuse the retaining plastic screw cap that came with the vacuum originally, so make sure you keep that. They easily swap out (it is the black piece in the Amazon photo inserted into the filter, it just pops out). Other than this, it is pretty obvious how to swap them out.

It's important for your health.
It fit my Shop Vac perfectly. I also use a chip separator in line before the sawdust/wood chips get to my shop vac. therefore, very little gets to it. So then why buy a Hepa filter? Because the fine dust does make it through and I want to capture all I can. I hardly ever have to clean it.

A good quality dry filter from Stanley
These are difficult to find for a wet-dry vac that is >10 years old. This is a HEPA filter which can be used for dry or wet vacuuming. I would not use it for wet vacuuming. It would be very difficult to clean. I bought a HEPA filter to have clean air when dry vacuuming. For wet vac, I use the foam filter and put a swimming pool filter sack over it to keep out larger particles and make the foam filter easier to clean.

When these are on sale they're an absolute bargin. Similar if not better than the OEW rip off ones.

Sent wrong item
Just like another reviewer stated, there's a plastic "screw" at the bottom that sticks out. So, it did not fit my 8 gallon Stanley shop vacuum. Additionally, I was sent the wrong item. I was sent the 08-2566B Standard Filter and not the 08-2566BP HEPA Filter.

Although not an instant perfect fit I got this properly seated in a 4.5 gallon Shopvac.

Didnt fit Stanley 8 gallon wet/dry vacuum
It fits but the bottom piece that holds the filter in has a totally different screw in then the new filter. waste of money.
