Parts 12675715 Crankshaft Balancer

This product arrived in plain brown box without any markings or stickers whatsoever. I should have taken this as a sign but much to my later chagrin, I forged ahead with installing it. I used an installation tool to properly pull the balancer onto the crank (I've been working on cars for more than 40 years now) so there shouldn've been any issues. The balancer visibly wobbled from the first start. AC Delco hasn't been helpful at all. They say their support team has contacted me and left a voice message but that is untrue. Short story, don't waste your valuable time and money on this balancer. Spend more and get a performance balancer, so you can do the job once. Especially important if you are working on a C5 and up Corvette as I am.

I went from my underdrive pulley back to stock. I would've used my old stock one but it was rusted big time. Looked up the part number on gmpartsdirect, came over to Amazon and purchased it. I was a little confused at first because Amazon says that this part doesn't fit the 2009 Pontiac G8 GT but it is the exact oem part number. I've had it installed for 2 weeks now and everything seems to be running smoothly. The only downside I guess is that I had to get a slightly longer serpentine belt.

Have used these OEM pulleys before and like the other reviewer said my unit had a horrible wobble, worse than the worn one it was replacing. The rubber surround in the pulley was also not even, probably contributed to the wobble, was not comfortable running this so I took it out and returned it. Only positive experience here was Amazon's wonderful customer service. Big waste of time thanks to ACDELCO

G8's are known for balancer wobble so I replaced it with cam change. Although this is abrevised part number, the problem is still there... Going with a racing aftermarket without the rubber.

1200 miles and now a wobble. It takes a lot of time to replace it, so I’m out that too.
